You are already paying gst, they aren't going to tax you again for it. If they try to, just show them the receipt

    • I agree you shouldn't have to pay GST as it's already included. That said, if you try adding at least 3 drives and checking out, Amazon adds Import Fees Deposit of about ~14% to the order. Supposedly you can get the amount refunded (https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/help/customer/display.html?node…) but I've never taken the risk.

$441.62 delivered for 16TB might be a better deal.

Just something to be mindful of with these drives - including the 20TB model, is they have a workload rate of only 300TB per year.

    https://www.westerndigital.com/en-au/tools/documentRequestHa…

Workload Rate is defined as the amount of user data transferred to or from the hard drive. Workload Rate is annualized (TB transferred x (8760 / recorded power-on hours)). Workload Rate will vary depending on your hardware and software components and configurations.

  • Any locals matching this price?

  • Thanks Op, handy for my Linux ISOs.

    • You mean phub?

      • +1

        Phub doesn't contain "Linux ISOs".

        EMP does ;-)

    • No amount of HDD space is enough to store all essential Linux isos. Since I started practicing Reduce, Reuse, Recycle I no longer need to buy new HDDs.

      • please give some more info how to do this for hdd

The easiest bit is deleting non essential Linux isos. I only reuse the good ones. The borderline ones you can always edit to keep only the good parts of the iso.

i think the Western Digital DC HC550 is still better value, basically the same price but with prime free delivery.
The HC550 also has a slightly faster speed and a much higher rated MTBF.
