    Is magmax better?

  • I've found that, for me, BioMagnesium, also from Blackmores, is more effective and a much smaller dosage is required to treat and prevent cramps. Only 1 tab a day compared with 6 tablets of MagMin that I used to have daily.

  • This is very low dose of magnesium 37.4mg.

    Best magnesium I've found https://www.chemistwarehouse.com.au/buy/75264/cabot-health-m…

Gives 400mg elemental magnesium per tea spoon with added taurine but not cheap.

    • its called magmin for a reason. :P

But more seriously. The product you linked is 400mg per 5g(teaspoon) of which 350mg is from i think aspartate (Same as magmin)
10 tablets (5g) would have 370mg so not far off.

But seriously won't that much mag give you diarrhoea??

When I got hiking, I carry these as I often get cramps in the night after an increase in exercise. I take 3 or 4 with water and cramps ease in minutes. Without it they can reoccur all night.

  • "Directions and Ingredients
Adults - To help prevent magnesium deficiency:
Women - 9 tablets per day in divided doses with meals (no more than 3 tablets at any one time).
Men - 11 tablets per day in divided doses with meals (no more than 3 tablets at any one time)."

    11 tablets a day? …..No thanks.
