Canon PowerShot S100 $375.91 Incl Free Battery and Shipping @ Camera Paradise

90

Hey guys,

Have been waiting for this camera to get <$400. It has pretty good reviews for a point and shoot.

Once you checkout type in the following codes
Discount coupon: febgiveaways20 (for $20 off)
Gift Voucher: rebirthfree (for free extra battery valued at $17.36)

All up:
Canon S100 = $321.79
Shipping (standard) = $66.36
Discount = -$20
Surcharge (Paypal) = $7.76
TOTAL = $375.91

Even though shipping is wwwaaayyyyy overinflated, total price is still the cheapest I've found, even if it is a gray import.

Get in quick cause I'm not sure how long the vouchers are valid for!

Enjoy :)

  • The 68 dollar or whatever it is, shipping, kills this deal for me a bit. I know its cheaper than others (marginally) but that shipping is so blatantly expensive its infuriating. Ohwell still a decent deal

  • These guys are the cheapest I have found the Panasonic G3 as well.

Works out as ~ $700 for the twin lens kit delivered. Local price is up to $1200 or so.

Free OEM battery (voucher) makes this an excellent deal.

Don't worry, I gave him a positive to rebalance the Ozbargain universe.

Not sure I like the warranty conditions though.

"The warranty is provided by Camera Paradise but not by the manufacturers. Should your products have any problem within 18 months after purchase, please contact us to arrange local warranty service or overseas warranty service. Please read more about warranty here. We CANNOT provide any manufacturers’ warranty; therefore, our price is competitive."

"CPD2D Warranty does not apply to the followings:
Buyer uses PO BOX address, since it is not possible to arrange any pick-up."

    • Sounds typical of a grey market importer which is why the price is so cheap. Something like that should be mentioned in the original post because as you mentioned no manufacturer's warranty is a huge deal to some people.

People would also have to be wary of bad dealings/fakes (along with geniune products) since that isn't uncommon with this type of thing (not an authorised reseller). (I'm not saying these guys do that but you never know).

      • I haven't heard of fake cameras. Memory cards maybe but not the whole camera.

    • It is a grey import, it will not have any manufacturer warranty in Australia. I dont really mind who fixes a faulty camera as long as it gets fixed.

Re PO box, how can they pick up the camera from you if you are using a PO BOX? Seems obvious.

      • Yes, but they say "the product shall only be picked up from the original address." (this is in regards to warranty claims)
So that means that if there is a chance you will need to claim a warranty, don't get it delivered to your P.O.Box. (which is not an obvious thing)

  • I picked up a Fuji X10 from these guys too last week - they had a special with a free 8gb class 10 sd card, and I used the free battery voucher and 20 off as well.

All up came to 490 including shipping. Shipping was high but total price was at least 30 less than others like DWI and digital rev.

Shipping was super fast too - ordered Wed night, it arrived Monday morning.

I had the S100 had to be fixed three times under warranty. tthen the last time I demanded a new camera and they said it wasn't warranty. I now have a Panasonc Lumix and won't be buying Canon again

    • Harsh. I have a S95 and have been really happy with it, and had looked with longing at the S100, and although I know that any company can let the odd individual lemon slip through the cracks, perhaps after your experience I should stay happy with what I have!

      • A lot of reports online suggest the S95 is a better camera… but should you decide to plunge for the S100 feel free to PM me about buying your S95!

  • got my s100 from topbuy with freeshipping code back then, total $365.05

  • Pretty good deal. Best price I could find a couple of weeks ago when I bought mine was just over $400.

  • Received my Canon S100. Ordered it on Wed and received it the following Monday so thumbs up on quick shipping. However, the FREE BATTERY turns out to be generic one and not OEM so the savings isn't really $17.36. The generic battery is rated slightly lower than the OEM - 1000mAh vs 1120mAh, but it's FREE so I shouldn't complain.

  • I found an Olympus e-pm1 twin lens kit for $509 at DSE. (799 rrp)
