My 1st post. Found this when I was looking for soundbars. Seems like a good deal.

  • I have this paired to my LG CX. For the size and price, it's quite decent, the Dolby Atmos is actually great in it.

    Still fine tuning it for the living room. The bass is a bit meh though, have it on max and still feel it's not enough compared to my old 5.1 system

  • Bass is pretty bleak with this model, I would personally go with Samsung HW950A if you like bass. YMMV

  • My LG sound bar has connectivity issues with my Samsung tv. I wonder if this has changed with the newer models

  • Have this paired with lg gx and it works well. I don't have any complains with bass though.

  • I have a SN7Y model which is1.5 years old, woofer no longer wants to connect to sound bar. This problem is quite common in most LG sound bars. I would carefully research this model before I spend $1000 in it.

      Just to clarify the problem is only with the models with meridian, atmos, chromecast wifi models. Simple models like sn4y, sj4 some s5 and s6 are fine. Issues start with no 7 and above models.

      • Contact LG for warranty repairs. I called and they said they will repair at the service centre straight away (VIC). Same thing happened to me exactly one year after purchase.

        • I have misplaced the receipt, are they very serius about receipt?
          Will give it a shot tomorrow

          • @umansPrimitiveNature: do you have an online invoice? yes they do need proof of purchase. my SN7Y was fine replacing a board.

              @mariahwerk: Yes I found it in my emails. Called LG Care 2 days ago and they asked me to Drop it at my local LG repair centre which I did. They said they will repair for free unless there are signs of damage. Thanks for the help, hope they fix it without a charge.
