Hong Kong based website showing god knows what currency with unknown shipping status. Website looks dodgy AF to begin with.
Would hardly use that for a price comparison for local AU market?

  • how much do these usually go for?

Usually $39 from Kogan.. but not in stock at the moment (rare).

      • Bought 2 at that price with free delivery.

          • @CrypticM: My bad. I meant I bought 2 @ $39 each with free delivery.

            • @xoom: How did you get free shipping with pcbyte?

    Good price.

  • What device does it go with and what does it exactly do? Just curious.

Xiaomi Mi Air Purifier various models.

It sucks up air. Filters out the particulates like dust or say polen and it gets stuck in the filter.

The air it then spews out is somewhat 'cleaner'

Depending on the filter it can filter out cooking odours or say cigarette smoke particulates also.

I have dust allergies so whenever I make my bed or do some heavy de-dusting, I end up sneezing for the next few hours. Now I whack this on and I haven't had any problems.

  • Ordered two and only had to pay shipping once :D

good deal and good product :)

no hackaround any more? seems such a waste if I had to toss out my filter which only has been using for the past 3 month.

I usually changed the filter every 12 months. Live in WA (not rural), about 30kms from CBD.

Every 3-4 months I dusted out the filter with air compressor.

It runs about 12 hours on weekdays, 24 hrs on weekend.

Usually waiting for this kind of deal, then buy new filter. Happy days.

      Hackaround?

I've gotten 18 months out of my filter before it got to 0% a couple months ago.

It still runs as normal, just whinges about it and requires another button touch to get to the normal menu.

You can clean the filters, though I believe they are tagged so the unit will still whinge about it.

Even when you clean them though you won't get the filter back to peak performance, so it's a tradeoff either way.

  • Can anyone recommend an alternative seller? I see lots on ebay much cheaper, yesterday was looking and it was $33-38 incl free delivery
