Perfect. Now I just need to glue it back together once I’ve put the ship inside

I'm going to spend the afternoon trying to figure out why I'd need one of these……then get drunk and just buy one anyway.

Because when you take the top of the bottle off, its now just a single (tall) glass of wine; and you're allowed one, right?

I was going to use my wife's ring for it. Paid thusands for a hard rock, should save me $25 for this bottle cutter.

    Any thoughts on this?

This tool might be a good way to re-purpose my many finished Mayver's peanut butter jars.
Some ideas I can cut them to be:
    - Small vase/herb pot on window sill
    - Kids toothbrush holder
    - Coffee tamp/tool holder

    Others?

      Kids toothbrush holder

Depends on how old your kids are. A cut jar doesn't have the same structural integrity of either an uncut jar or a normal glass. Most of us will have dropped a jar or glass and been relieved because it bounced rather than smashed. That's far less likely to happen with a cut jar, particularly on a tiled bathroom floor. Not a great mix with kids' bare feet (or an adult's).

      • Fair call!

      Diy candles

    • You can use the jars to make and store your own peanut butter, jam, pickled vegetables, etc without cutting it?

      • I don't do any of those

        • Candle making?

          • @dust: maybe a holder for straws for grasping

            • @DONMAI: All of my suggestions were things I've either done myself with old peanut butter/jam jars or things I've donated to friends who have done those things I've suggested with them.

That's one way to open a tight jar lid.

I got one of these (might not be the same manufacturer), the cutter head is worn out after 3 or 4 cuts.

    • Thanks for the heads up- spared me the disappointment.

Thanks for that. Do you know if there are better alternatives?

I'm in my Delorean heading back to the 70s hoping KTEL haven't sold out.

Don't forget to bring back the candle and ice cube.

    • Code may be targeted as I can't find it, unless I'm missing something?
