After all the fiasco, I take Dick Smith personnel advice as a grain of salt.
Good deal, just picked up the SRU6006 for $24.95 to replace a missing Harmony 300.
Classy looking, easy to set up and programmable buttons. Operates Foxtel, WDTV and TV, plus ceiling fan/light and HDMI remote switcher.at least now the Harmony will show up whilst you are waiting for delivery.
Within 10 minutes of getting home and setting up the new one, I found the Harmony. Was bound to happen. As a comparison, I actually like the Philips more, but both control all devices easily. The Philips did have to be programmed manually to work the IQ2.
Nice one. Ordered one.
Be interesting to see how it handles my Philips LCD TV. The Logitech is less than great with that TV.We've got reviews on our site if you want to check out what others think about Harmony http://reviews-au.logitech.com/7061-en_au/60/harmony-remotes…
Price is good but the quality is not comparable with Logitech remotes. I was told by Dick Smith personal it may not even work for some Phillips TVs. I believe the deal http://www.logitechshop.com.au/logitech-harmony-650-remote.h… $30 (free shipping) is a better value with logitech (deal is on at present and stock is available).
