Been wanting to buy one of these great deals but worried about shipment to NSW. How's techfast and their shipping? And how are they with handling damages when it comes to shipments?

    • +7

Any damage in shipping is fully covered under warranty with either repair or replace. We package all systems internally and you can choose to have the card shipped separately to remove the risk of gpu damage altogether.

      • +12

But then wouldn't they find out that you sent them a mini card instead of them finding out 2 years later when they try to resell it then demand a refund?

      • +2

Hi Luke, I received my computer from you guys however the glass panel shattered during transit. I've sent an email to your support team but haven't heard back and its been a week. Happy to PM you further details.

        • +3

Please do. Can’t imagine we haven’t responded if received

          • @luketechfast: thanks mate, I've PMed you. Hope to get a resolution soon!

I got mine yesterday, tower was dented and bottom leg support broken. GPU bracket on motherboard is broken off and the GPU is left slanted, worried there’s damage to my GPU.

          Proceeded to contact Techfast support.

          @11am Contacted Techfast Support

          @12:40pm Techfast responds

          “Good afternoon *****,

I am sorry to hear that you have received your system like this. It sounds as though the system had a rough transit and sustained some transit damage.

Can you please send through some images of the damage?

          Please let me know.”

@12:45pm responded to Techfast with photos of the damage and haven’t got a response back since.

          All a waiting game now…

    • Mine shipped on Friday, arrived Sanctuary Point NSW on the Monday in perfect nick.

    • I received my build from Boxing day sales last week. Nothing wrong with it at all. No dents, glass intact, no scratches… apart from bow and glitter not sure what else could've been done.

    Any deal with i5 12400f?

    • +2

When stock becomes more available I'd say so. Not much of 12400F/12600KF available.

      • Might hold out until that one arrives with a 12600

  • +1

another good prebuilt of 3080 under $2.6k, hope to see more deals in coming Easter sale!

wait until US federal reserve increase the interest rates, BTC will be worth bugger all and GPUs will be dirty cheap

      • +2

lol - And that is why so much BTC is not on exchanges and being bought up by investment firms and banks.

        Short cited my friend.

Nvidia are kicking them shelf on the MSRP they released and they are making up for it in these stupid 12G etc releases (which is what the card should have been).

Through this mechanism they can release the 4XXX GPU as a higher price

So yes the feds will put up the interest rates but only slightly as not to put downward pressure on all record high debt that they have.

BTC is here to stay and GPU prices will be high for quite some time

        • +2

Just chiming in here, but I thought BTC wasn't even profitable to mine with GPUs anymore?

You guys are referring to ETH or something right?

          • +5

@roberttimmms: There comment is just a throw away comment without anyreference. They are just throwing together Cypto, GPU's, interest rates, Procurement lines into a statement to sound like they know something.

You are correct that it is not profitable to mine BTC of a single or group of GPU's ( the big mining companies are running heaps of antminers)

Ether and other coins on the otherhand are, if you have a suitable energy source e.g. solar. Even then those that picked up cards before the giant price hike have paid off their cards.

In regards to the feds increasing their rates (which they have to do) is because the amount of bonds being issued need to be tapered down. Now if the feds threw up the rates really high, then everyone in debt or who has overleveraged would need to offload assest e.g. BTC etc, to cover for the increased % on their debt. This sell off puts the price of BTC down and as there is less BTC on the exchange it can be more volatile on price movement.

Doing this too fast would cause some institutions to go bust and cause a bit of a domino effect. I personally think that BTC will have these Macro factors built into it now as it is starting to follow general stock patterns. Now if you look at the amount of BTC being traded on exchanges it is at an all-time low. There is a lot more BTC being taken off the exchanges and being held in cold wallet storage. The big boys are buying up. Why would big institutions including banks increase their holdings if BTC was going to nothing?

So BTC is here to stay - there will be a shift when Ether moves to POS - interest rates will increase - GPU prices will stay high - fuel is going up - let's hope Russia doesn't attack the Ukraine

Sorry you didn't ask for all that verbal spew for me, it just starts to tick me off when people throw such comments above as it so misleading

            • +1

@tnarg: Wow - and to think such a little post about a great deal on a PC System could create so much angst!

              • @Dauphin: Yeah true, bit too much passion there sorry

        • +1

          Short cited my friend.

"Sighted" - as in "seen", not a text that's been referred to.

Any time I see badly written investment advice on the web I think of Joseph Kennedy and his shoe shine boy; or that cab driver urging me to get into Internet advertising just as the dot-com crash hit….

          • @jong: My apologies for my grammatical errors.

      • Nobody mines btc with GPUs anymore.

        • what do they use now?

          • @Poor Ass: ASIC miners are way more profitable for btc. GPUs only used for Ethereum or Ravencoin these days

  • This setup when parts were not expensive, what would have you expected to pay for it then?thanks

    • It's only the GPU that is over priced. Adding around 800 to the cost.
That 800 may diminish over the next 12 months, maybe not.

      • Oh ok so about 30% increase. Thanks for that just read it alot more but never really known by how much. Thanks again :)

    Patiently waiting for a 3060TI or 3070 deal :)

  • +7

Its funny now only deal battles between BPC & TF, all the sydney shops been out of battle for a while, absolutely no deals out at all …

  • -1

    $2788 when go to deal?

    • +4

      use the code my son

  • +1

Grabbed the 3080 deal from earlier in Feb, super stoked for my first PC in like 15 years. Great to see me waiting has paid off a bit.

  • +2
  • +1

Not bad for a 3080 build, just bought myself a 3070 ti build today for $3100 but with extra ssd an aio and z690 board

    • +1

2 weeks ago i built myself a 3070Ti build for about $2500 so this stings a bit. But i did get to put the exact parts I wanted in atleast.

And it's running everything i throw at it smoothly. But still..feels like my jumping in was cause for drops.

  • +1

oh my god. This deal is so much better than the AMD 5600X one that I just bought. Goddamnit~!

    • +4

From us? You can swap if you want

      • Hi Luke, thank you for the offer. The PC is already on the way to me.
I have just checked the gaming benchmark for 1440p in particular. Mostly it's between 8-10 fps difference between 5600x and 12700F.
I think i'll stick with AMD instead, considering I have upgraded to ATX size board for cheap and barely noticeable difference in 1440p gaming. Thanks again though, I appreciate it.

        • Get better RAM. I bought myself some b-die to go with my 5600x, the benchmarks went up a lot and helps with 1% lows.
Cost me 165 to buy from Amazon.

          • @beeze: Can you tell me which b-die RAM did you buy at Amazon, please?

            • @squall3031: Hey @squall3031 : Can you please let me know how much time it took for your order for them to courier. I have had no update till now its been 1 week and amazon has spoiled me with regular updates.

    • The more you wait the better deal you get, isn't it? And ends up the more you regret, maybe just enjoy what you already got and don't even check any prebuilt deals here anymore …

      • Can't help it if I spot a better deal from Techfast. I'm here to hunt other bargains too. hahahaha

  • @luketechfast I ordered the 5600x 3080 build last week and it has yet to ship, can I upgrade to this?

  • Did I get a really bad deal by getting this? Please advise, I’m a noob when it comes to pc parts!😅

    • +3

Hey mate, I can't give you 100% on the price, but the setup you bought is better spec'd than the one posted here. If you weren't concerned about spending the money, don't worry about it.

      • Cool, thank you so much!😊

    • +1

You bought a great system- no regrets

      • except the PSU :)

        • Oh! I think I read that the issue was resolved with the specific PSU, is that not correct?

      • Cool! Very keen to experience the difference as my old pre built stopped working and it had a rx 580😅

    • +1

yeah I had a look at that one last night, honestly both systems are good you will be happy with either system tbh

      • Sweet, that’s good to know, I won’t be canceling my order haha

  • No that bad…just not that good

  • Any deals with a mini-case. I'm thinking about waiting for the Intel NUC 12 Extreme but am open to getting a system from you guys if the price is right

    • The Mini space isn't one we operate in sorry.

I've been scarred RE: Gigabyte GPUs…

  • +5

Hold on for next month if cash is still tight for you and want to wait for cheaper prebuilts, it is coming …
    https://www.digitaltrends.com/computing/new-leak-says-gpu-pr…

  • Bought from them in november, fast shipping then, unfortunate that I paid a little more and got a 12600KF and 3070 :'(
    Build was great, no complaints!

  • Hey @luketechfast, just placed an order. Can you let me know what is the ETA for the express shipping.

And if there is any difference between the graphics card shipped separately options checked and unchecked. Since i did it unchecked.

    • Thanks! The express shipping should arrive within 1-2 days of dispatch depending on your location. Your order has the GPU not shipping separately, which means it will be installed for transit. If you'd like us to stress test the system then remove the GPU, put it in its original packaging, and send to you separately for you to install, which removes any risk of transit damage, let me know and I'll mark that checkbox for you on our end.

      • Yes please if checking the option, result in a quality assurance for me .. then i would like you to check the option for me. Thank you.

But normally when i can i expect the system to be dispatched .. approximate time atleast .. thanks ..

        • Easy, that's done for you.
Cards for this deal are in Australia, awaiting clearance/transit to us. I'd expect around end of month/start of next month (this is also in the product description).

  • Interested in what you can do parts only (no case or psu required)

  • Possible to upgrade to 32gb ram?

    • Yep, or 64gb. Options on the site

  • Hey! Is it possible to upgrade to DDR5 ram? And what about swapping the case out? Cheers :)

    • No DDR5 motherboards on hand and prices aren't justifiable for the way we purchase, sorry! Only the MAG Forge available at this time as well.

  • Hm why is it $150 for 32gb of ram but $600 for 64gb?

  • MSI website says the MAG Forge 100R case can support up to 160mm CPU cooler, but you have an option of 240mm All-In-One Liquid CPU Cooler (+$149.00), does that fit in the case?

    • 240mm definitely fits, with the radiator top or front mounted. Think 160mm is referring to the perpendicular height between motherboard and glass panel for an air cooler.
