Bought two of these when it was 59$. Damn man, you get statics at the end of the charging cable so be very careful if you have little ones at home. I tried both and variety of cables and results were same. Nonetheless, awesome charger.

Can't be awesome if there's uncontrolled electricity about!

Thanks for letting us know. It stopped me from buying.

I had a different model from these guys, same thing. Cables 'shock' you very mildly. Different cables tried, same result.

EDIT - have to say, I have others models too and they work fine - same brand)

      • Does this have a metal casing ?

        • I believe both are plastic.

    • Oooh that's super bad - it implies that the high mains voltage is leaking into the low-voltage side, very slightly. Probably poor construction design or poor QA or both..

  • I've had mine for a while now, using it to charge a thinkpad, qc smartphone, blue tooth speakers and a couple of led lights. Works perfectly !

  • I am using their power board with USB-C and A charing port, hooked up with all my monitors, laptop, wireless chargers. Works awesome!

  • It's probably a $5 discount to what i paid for 1x, regardless pretty good. Great for say a macbook that's around 90w, but needs a bit more for the dock

  • Almost bought this for my dell 130w laptop. Apparently I can request another one for free from office for wfh. fyi the usb c 130 w dell charger is only 71 dlrs from my office catalogue.

    • Those laptop chargers often skip in between voltages, and may require propriety signalling to get the max voltage or amperage. For example that dell charger only does 5v and 20v. So this device is better if you're charging a variety of devices.

  • Guys,

Could someone knowledgeable in the area of chargers please comment on the question below.

This charger does not use GaN technology. So, in terms of charging performance (i.e speed and less power consumption / heat generation), would the following charger outperform this one?

      From my understanding
GaN chargers will be much smaller and probably generating less heat (and more energy efficient than silicon)
But charging speed will still depends on the spec of the charger(eg. PD)
I don't see with the same spec (eg. PD 60w type-C port)
GaN charger will charge faster than non-GaN charger

GaN charger major selling point is its size to carry around (eg for travel)
So a desk charging / charging station isn't really necessary as using GaN technology

      • I don't see with the same spec (eg. PD 60w type-C port)

I am not sure what you mean by this.
Both can provide max 100W PD output on the USB-C ports.

Okay. Lets disregard cost, size / form factor, whether or not travelling around or mostly desk bound, which one of the two HEYMIX chargers would you choose:
        1. The one from this deal
        2. GaN tech (linked above)
