    • I was about to sign up this weekend but glad some others have some luck too. Won't be going in dry

    • I am happy with this. This is exactly tangerine. Same parent company

    • good price

  • Discount only applicable if paid for with an eligible commbank credit/debit card

@WaydoPotato How would I find out if my CommBank debit card is eligible for this deal or not?

Also, should I expect to see this offer within the Rewards tab?
I am guessing the answer is no since this is not a targeted deal.

    • +1

Any commbank card will be eligible

  • My tangerine is expiring in 5 weeks time and I plan to join these guys. Would this deal be running in 5 weeks time?

  • Anybody here has moved from Vodafone NBN to More via this deal ?
I want to know if the vodafone provided modem will be easy to setup or will work with this. I believe vodafone modems are unlocked.

    • +1

All (almost all?) modems are unlocked nowadays. Haven’t heard of a locked modem in ages.
      Should be plug and play.

      • It looks like Optus modems are not compatible although unlocked. Got this info from More's troubleshooting team.

  • Any recommendations for FTTB modem?

  • Solid deal, moved to more a couple days back. Was instant and the speeds are fantastic. Would highly recommend.

  • +2

Signed up with them last night around 9pm, current service shut off around 11ish, back up and running on More at 12am (surprised it happened overnight!).

So far seems to be working as per normal, I have a Belong 4353 modem and was able to use the PPPoE details they provided.

We'll see how it goes during the evening but so far it's been painless.

For those churning from the 6 month superloop deal, it's very straightforward. DON'T cancel with superloop prior or anything, you just need to select previous provider in the checkout for More, and when it swaps over you'll get an sms from Superloop asking to confirm if you're cancelling your service (simply reply with 'Yes') and then it will be cancelled.

  • Are you able to specify a churn date with More when you sign up?
And, they will take over the account exactly on that day (via remote activation).

Only asking as I had a terrible experience with Tangerine - they completely forgot about the day they were supposed to switch me over to their service.

    • Yep you can choose the specified date in the checkout.

I'm on FTTP and got swapped over (remotely) within a few hours of ordering, not sure how it goes for dates in advance though but it seemed to be a smooth swap over.

  • anyone know how does it goes if you choose dates in advance to connect does More charge your CBA card on the date of placing order or on date of activation? are you given an account number and tax invoice and log on details straight away when you place an order so you can make manual payments to top up account too or do you have to wait until date of activation before receiving log on details?

    • +1

      I'm in a similar situation.

More charge your CBA card on the date of placing order or on date of activation?

Yes, payment shows as pending in my CommBank everyday transaction account.

Are you given an account number and tax invoice and log-on details straight away when you place an order so you can make manual payments to top up account too or do you have to wait until date of activation before receiving log on details?

You receive the account number + login details via email immediately after registration.

      Not sure about Tax Invoice.

I am able to log in and set up auto debit.

I sign up on Friday and scheduled for my service to be activated today.

      • Came home, deleted existing profile, power cycle both the NBN box and my ZTE H268A modem, create new profile, entered the login details under WAN > Ethernet. Connected but no internet.

Ended up calling support to find out that they gave me the wrong password. They added three dashes in front of my password, both in the email and the SMS.

  • For those on HFC and on a 50/20 plan, what sort of speeds do you guys see in the evening on most days?

    • +2

I am on that plan, in Adelaide, and this is my speed now (almost 8:30pm here):

      Ping ms: 8
      Download Mbps: 53.67
      Upload Mbps: 18.86

      • +1

Excellent. Thank you for the reply.

Very similar to Tangerine and Superloop.

  • What about home phone? Do they connect them?

  • I've signed up today and used a Telstra Smart Modem Gen 2 to connect successfully with More username/password.

However when I set the Gen 2 to Bridge Mode the connection stops working. I turned off IPV6 and the Gen 2's wifi before switching to Bridge Mode.

I wanted it in Bridge Mode so I can connect my eero mesh system to it…but no go.

Does anyone have a similar setup working with More

  • Just about to sign up - any promo / referral code I can use?

    • -1

      Same here.

There isn't any promo code, and the discount % depends on your CBA card type.

      • What do you mean by that i.e. % depends on card type. What difference?

  • do they do a credit check on you? are there any cash back websites to sign up via ie boost super?

  • Anyone moved to more from TPG with TPG's modem? Can you please provide step by step guide on setting up TPG modem for more? I have received username and password in my email.

  • Does anyone know if google mesh system (original version) is a suitable modem/router for this internet connection?

  • +1

I’m not with comm bank, does anyone know if I can just open an every day saver account now to get this? If I transfer $2k in and immediately back out, does that count for the purpose of waiving the $4 fee?

    • Yes, it's what I did.

  • Does anyone know if Belong is PPPoE. I have a Arris cm8200b. I want to switch but not sure if I'll need to buy a new router?

    • Yes, I was able to use my Exetel modem with Belong and now More.

  • Hi guys, my 16 years old has commonwealth but her card doesn’t work for some reason. Would I be able to just use a different credit card and still get the discount? Very frustrating

    • The whole point is you have to use a Commonwealth Bank card. Otherwise, it would be open to everyone.

      • Ok, just weird that the commonwealth card doesn’t work. I’ll contact them .

        • +1

Is your daughter's card link to a special underage/no fee account?

I imagine if the card is for one of those account, the owner would not be old enough to legally sign a binding contract so the card cannot be use for this offer.

          • @thangcuoi: Makes sense, thanks. I will probably try exetel then as they have also $70 cashback atm (I will wait for click frenzy, in case any other deals around). Seems like an ok deal. Escaping Mate horrible speeds.

    • +1

It maybe due to your card setting doesn't allow online payment. It happened to me. You can change it via online banking

      • Thanks I’ll check that

  • +2

Moved from Superloop 250/25 to More 250/25 around a month ago for this deal.

Incredibly slow speeds during peak where Superloop had absolutely no issues. Almost half the download speed when downloading a game from Game Pass for example (Superloop consistently 200Mbps+, most I saw on More was about 120-150Mbps)

Noticeably slower load times on most web pages and even buffering on YouTube. Have just signed back up to Superloop.

May not be as noticeable on the slower speed plans but it was a huge difference at these speeds. More just can't keep up in my area unfortunately.

    • Noticeably slower load times on most web pages

Thought it was just me! It’s quite annoying when every site takes a second to load. Still, I’m saving so much every month, it’s hard to throw that away.

      • +1

I agree, the savings are huge but right now, as I type this, I'm updating Forza Horizon 5 on my Xbox and it's sitting on 35Mbps, dipping to about 20 Mbps every now and then. 580MB/11.60GB downloaded in about 10 minutes. 1 hour and 57 minutes to go at these speeds.

No amount of saving makes that acceptable at 11.30pm on a Friday night.

Hopefully the change back to Superloop is as quick as the move to More. I must say, I was impressed with how quickly things happened but it's been downhill from there.

        • Was exactly my experience too when I was updating a game. It took like minutes for something that should have taken seconds. What’s annoying is that speed test results always show the max speeds and low ping so they must be cheating it somehow.

        • wait is it Mbps or MBps, I believe game servers download in MBps so you need to convert to Mbps

  • Anyone on HFC with these guys at 250/25 in Brisbane? Wondering about their reliability before I transfer over

    • I am. Been on for over a month. Dropped out once but was back up pretty quick.
Speeds have been good. Haven't noticed much diff moving from Telstra 100/40.

  • Dang it I didn't apply to get cash back:(

  • How much notice does more require when cancelling?

  • If anyone here is currently with Aussie BB and is considering changing, you can call their standard call line on dial option 3 and easily get $10 off every month for 12 months by mentioning that you are considering changing to this.
Apparently, if you go through dial option 4 and go through to their specific retention team, they may be able to offer you even more to stay.

    • +3

So there pretty much admitting their prices are a rort

  • How safe is it to signup to More via a CBA DEBIT card, rather than a CREDIT card,
I don't currently have a CBA CREDIT card and don't really want to get one.

    • Very safe. Still protected by MasterCard zero liability.

  • i read not available for FTTN ? my area only can do FTTN

also, what is the easiest CBA account i can open to get this offer? not credit card please
    thanks
