What Cods are you buying that have trunks… Seems rather fishy to me.

    • I know you're taking the piss, but for others that may not know, a trunk is a fish that has had the head and tail removed, but not in fillet form.

I though someone would Broden them all at this price..

Is there a way to order online for pick up? I tried yesterday with no success :(

You get what you pay for. Quality is more akin to Coles/Woolies than a fish market

    • Sad, that was my main concern before buying

      Thanks

I've eaten oysters from the finest restaurants to Coles and Woolies, and whilst yes there is a difference, the Coles and Woolies ones (if fresh) are still juicy and gorgeous. And well worth my time.

      • Did they work?

      • If an oyster isnt freshly shucked, should not eat it.

Personally like sydney rock the best, small and full of flavour.

Wish I could get Sydney rocks delivered for that much here in Melbourne, they're stunning. Also a huge fan of coffin bay.

    Actually, give me any oyster.

If you are looking for good oysters in Melbourne I got some crays and oysters a few weeks ago
from The Big Fish in Carrum Downs. Really fresh and so much better than the supermarkets.

Seafood should be cheaper than beef, lamb, chicken and pork. It’s not like fish have to be farmed, fed etc… They just find it, catch it and sell it.

Totally, I have a backyard of lobsters that knows when they are ripe and herds themselves into self-freezing containers, except the head lobster who takes care of the delivery to the fishmarket. My backyard is also a gateway to a lobsters dimension so my supply is endless.

Erm … so you've never heard of an oyster farm or a fish farm then? Your comment is one of the funniest things I've read on OzB for quite a while :) It reminds me of dudes who genuinely wonder why wild-shot meats (roo, camel, etc.) aren't virtually free in Australia, because '… they don't have to farm them'.

      • Wow, so there are multiple idiots that believe hunting is less effort than farming?

  • aww shucks

  • OP any deals for mud crab?

    • This week's stock sold out in one day due to our 15% storewide promo but check again in a few days and we should have some more mud crabs. Only A grade now. No more B and C grade. Just not worth the effort. Thanks
