  • thanks op, brought one

  • Why are so many of these cables only USB 2.0?

    • +1

      Likely cheaper to produce

      • Yes, but they're basically useless now we're at USB3 / USB4.

        • +8

They're charging cables and the transfer speeds have no impact on that.

          • @Clear: Yes, but it'd be nice to have a single cable to carry around when traveling. When will we get cheap TB3/TB4 cables?

            • @sickburn: When they become the standard USB cable. Until then these prices are typically as low as we've got them.

    • Because they're designed as high output charging cables, not high speed transfer cables

      • Charging and Data are more useful. I generally throw these types of cables in the bin.

        • +6

so maybe don't buy it then?

        • True OzBargainer would use charging-only cables with one of their dozen HEYMIX wall chargers so they're never more than 3 steps from high-speed charging for their non-Eneloop devices.

What situations would you need 2 metres? I can't imagine that it wouldn't be a trip hazard

    • +8

It's easier to make a long cable short by coiling it than making a short cable long. Also 2m is pretty standard

    • +3

The bed is useful and the rear socket in my car is useful too.

    • to charge far away? i use a 5m cable at school

      • I got extension cords at 5m+. Would've thought that's better and energy transfer better plus can add powerboard for multiple devices.

        • -3

o def, 5m is unbelievably retarded, i only bought it cause my 3m cable started acting up so i got a free refund and return on amazon and bought a 5m. 4m woulda defo been better tho

        • What situations would you need 5 metres? I can't imagine that it wouldn't be a trip hazard

          LOL

    • +1

Trip hazard? Should you throw away your phone cos it could be a fire hazard? Radiation hazard?

      • Just a thought for us that live with elderly and long cords. Plus i would not sleep with my charging phone under pillow. Batteries fires are rare but not impossible.

Also don't we all prefer wireless headphones. If you don't mind the safety then a better option is extension leads when you go long. Much sturdier construction without the cord getting damaged.

It is showing AUD 0.01 but delivery in April. New User bonus.

    • Comes to $0.32 including VAT. Hardly worth worrying about.

I don't need a 2m USB C to USB C cable, but for less than a buck it felt like a steal.

      I'm a responsible adult, I swear!

  • Comes up in AUD. How do I get it to switch to USD?

  • $4.04 USD for 2.

  • Got one hope it actually charges.

  • ay already $3.30 AUD for 2m but still bought 2

  • Can these be used for USB C Dock (connection from laptop to the dock)? I have misplaced a cable and one of the charging cables do not work !

    • for $2~$3 AUD, why not try?

    • No. These are USB 2.0 cables so they're only suitable for charging.

      • Thanks, that saved me $2! More like the OzB spirit!

  • if only there's a 3m one!

  • USBc to USBc?
