  • Jbhifi will still honour 85 inch price

    • And charge you delivery fees

well you're paying an extra $1000 so if you rather pay that go ahead.

    • Do you need to have access to EPP and show JB staff when asking for price match?

      • nada.

        • +1

What do you have to show them?

    • QN85A 85 model was removed from the jb website earlier this afternoon

      • I think if you go to the store, my local store should still be able to honour

        • Is this the $3295 from the other day? I thought it was pricing error

  • pulled the trigger on Q60 85" for $2519, but this is 200hz compared to mine that is 60hz

    • The biggest selling point is that this one has mini-LED with 1000+ local dimming points which gives you bit comparable to OLED experiences but without the disadvantages. (also come with its own disadvantages) But the black levels and contrast are next level making movie/dark room watching experience better - if your purpose is watching lots of movies.

Shit house comms from Samsung, I Ordered 85” qn85a directly 3 weeks ago with “premium” wall installation (via EPP) and they can’t tell me when they’ll have stock but continue to text stating dispatched and then cancelled. Phone calls nigh on impossible and live chat is horrendous

Going through the exact same experience. Ordered a TV 31st Jan, delivery was scheduled today, got an SMS this morning saying not coming with no confirmation of a new date.

      Shit house.

    • Me 3.

Computer Monitor and projector also delayed.

Telephone service has been rude and patchy and live chat gets cut off every time it's my turn.

      Their service is horrendous

      • Yeah Live Chat is completely useless and I actually put the phone down on a guy because he kept rambling on how it's not their fault it's because of Covid.

    • Yeah, I’ve heard the same thing from a couple of people from work.

    • Same! Ordered a fridge and washing machine four weeks ago which they said had stock in and they aren’t able to find a delivery driver apparently

    • If this is the service you get pre, how are you going to go when your tv dies after 13 months and you try an implied warranty claim? From my personal experience, not well.

      • their warranty service is exceptional, I bought a fridge before Christmas and one of the shelves were broken — I got onto them immediately and it was couriered next day. as a follow up to my tv/soundbar situation, they told me yesterday they have no idea what's going on and its the warehouse problem — "I wish your order best of luck" is the verbatim … (profanity) useless. you can't escalate, you can't speak to them, live chat constantly drops out…. Jesus, what a two bit operation.

        • Glad you had a good warranty experience. My point was about dealing with them in the implied warranty period… i.e. after 12 months on TV's including this one.

Hmm. My Epp portal has the 85inch for $4464. Do different partners have different rates through EPP (besides edu/gov)?

  • Lol, just found the AR feature. Gotta admit, that's pretty cool 😆

    • What's the AR feature?

      • I accessed the Samsung website via my phone, and on each of the TV models, there's an Augmented Reality button, which allows you to see the TV in the current space you are in.
