10x Australia Post Parcel Post Small (up to 5kg) Prepaid Satchels $86.95 Delivered @ onlinefinity eBay

280
SNSHAGI

Hey! This deal is mostly targeted to people who regularly sell things online and ship across Australia.

I'm making a separate listing as from the original coupon post as I think this deserves its own post (If not then please delete..) because you wouldn't expect parcel posts to be eligible for Home and Interior stuff!?!

One prepaid small (5KG) satchel from Australia Post costs $9.55. If you buy it in bulk (10+) it can work out to be $9.00-9.30 each.

This person is selling a pack on eBay which is $9.70 each but with the coupon code it brings it down to $8.70!! Plus purchasing an $80 eBay gift card on Shopback gives 3% cashback so it's around $8.40.

I know it's not too much but I can't think of anywhere else to buy these from (don't want to wait forever either) + eBay doesn't like doing those sitewide discount codes anymore!! :(

Hope this all makes sense, bought these this morning and expecting to arrive next week or so.

Special thanks to the guys that helped me out with using gift cards + coupon in my purchase:

If you sell stuff often you can sign up for an Aust post sellers account and scan you barcode each time.

You will receive discounts which will increase the more you send items.

If you post frequently it ends up being low $8 after discount for a standard parcel (if you use your own box/bag)

Bigger items get more of a discount too of $1-3

      ↑ Best advice right here

Even sending 5 parcels a week, gets you access to a 10% for most places.. and a delicious 25% for stuff in your own local city

These are only $90.70 direct from Australia post (when buying 10 or more). https://auspost.com.au/shop/product/parcel-post-small-satche…

Tbh, the ebay postage label system is easiest as there is no friction. Its all done on eBay using print label and billed there and auto upload tracking.

    Unless theres a simpler way

Foreign sellers have been counterfeiting these for years and many on eBay are fake. Huge Whirlpool thread about it. Really got to be careful with AP satchels from eBay https://forums.whirlpool.net.au/thread/2587548

yep i definitely wouldn't trust anything that's not purchased directly from auspost for these sorts of things

    • Yeah you're definitely right. I had a read through the reviews of this seller and they seem pretty good. I also messaged them last night and they said they're genuine (though not sure if I should take that with a grain of salt lol) Only negative review on their shop is that they didn't package their one of their parcels well. Fingers crossed I haven't wasted like $80 bucks and probably other people's too !!!

I no longer work for Australia Post but I'll always advise not to buy satchels from anywhere other than AP. Counterfeit or flagged stolen satchels are held up in our network, often without any explanation.

In the best of situations you'll get a call from Revenue Protection asking you to pay to have your item transit the network.

At worst you'll call the contact centre and pretend like our advice of buying product from AP directly is stupid because you can save a few bucks online, and then in an obscured way be called an idiot and wait up to 4 weeks for someone to contact you for payment to release your item.

    • Yes I still have those eBay Auspost satchels, I bought quite a lot. For a long time they have ben useless honestly. I didn't wanna risk using them because Auspost may not allow use of those old eBay auspost packaging satchels with the prepaid satchels.

      • Old satchels are perfectly fine and are honoured as new, stolen or counterfeit is when they're held up.

        • I am talking about eBay Auspost satchels ?

I got small and medium size

          Something like

          https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/164324071137

bought them like year or so ago (i think seller on eBay was australiapoststore)

Will instore people honor it as a normal auspost packaging? aka will not charge me for packaging (25 cents or something), and only charge me for shipping

          • @USER DC: Yes, I was like you and had a bunch left over. Being slowly using them up, no issues at all.

            • @uncompressed: Hello mate
I went to use one today was told If I use my own packaging (the older eBay Auspost satchels- https://i.imgur.com/iKMMhv6.jpg) I would be paying the standard postage like for $15-$20. Lady confirmed with the manger of PO, she showed my satchel to him, she came up later saying i cannot use my packaging for IF IT FITS IT SHIPS pricing.

Later on found this on auspost website, https://auspost.com.au/flat-rate-sending

" Can I still use prepaid satchels I bought before If It Packs, It Posts was introduced?
Yes, of course. If you have any of our previous weight-based satchels, you can use them to access our new sized-based sending solution. For example, the previous 500g satchel will be treated as a Small, the 1kg satchel will be treated as a Medium, the 3kg satchel will be treated as a Large and the 5kg satchel will treated as an Extra Large.

With the new If It Packs, It Posts national flat rates, you’ll now be able to pack up to 5kg in, no matter what size your previous prepaid satchel is.

Here’s how our new size-based system for Parcel Post and Express Post satchels compares to the previous weight-based system:

              Previous vs new satchels
Previous weight-based satchel New If It Packs, It Post size-based satchels
If your item weighed more than your satchel’s maximum limit, you were charged at the next weight level. Now you can pack up to 5kg in any of these four sizes and simply pay the flat rate for that size. If it packs, it posts.
              500g satchel Small satchel
              1kg satchel Medium satchel
              3kg satchel Large satchel
              5kg satchel Extra Large satchel

Didn't haggle too much in the Post office physically. just payed them extra 25 cents for packaging (which i clearly did not have to pay). And went to their chat online, spoke to Rosita, she denied my point as well until i kept insisting on her that Auspost website clearly says previous 500g satchel will be treated as a Small, she insisted earlier on saying that I used weight based satchel not prepaid satchels so that is not eligible for IF IT FITS IT SHIPS. Anyway after a bit more explaining to her On what AUSPOST WEBSITE SAYS, she said she'll organize a 25 cent refund (cannot organize a more refund because I paid Post office for the satchel and choose not to pay PO $15-$20 by using my own packaging) . But still did not clarify me at once, how i explain the information to some stubborn or uneducated (about this information) employee at AUSPOST POST OFFICE.

May i ask how you explain to people at auspost to honor you price of IF IT FITS IT SHIPS (without the packaging cost) when using your older packaging ?

I have used this prepaid packaging shipping, (upto 5Kg shipping weight)

I love this honestly, usually always works out cheaper for me,(even cheaper than like Sendle etc) I just squeeze in parcels into the small packaging whenever possible, (to save myself $2-$10). And it can be sent anywhere in Australia, (including those remote regional areas)

Have shipping numerous things heavy things like Hard drives, bulbs, laptops, etc. and so much more stuff that is heavy weighted, but just barely gets squeezed down to the smallest prepaid packaging. Hence saving me money, even though they have now started charging for the packaging itself too (which is just dodgy)

  • Nothing relating to this post, but how does Australia Post not make any money selling stuff and posting for this price

    • Not make money?

It was privatised so that everybody is ripped off with enormous profits while it lowers its standards to those of the private sector, what are you talking about?

      • Roll out on the wrong side of the bed this morning

      $12k Cartier watches. Nuff said.

      • U mean the 500k bonuses that have been given out since she was removed

    • My favourite post a dice here vs China rates .
      Total ripoff here .

      • Yeah that was my point it costs me $10+ to send a small item and they post a loss each year.
