Is Tile ecosystem worth going into, now that there is air tag etc? I’ve heard it’s dying off/not that great? Would love to be wrong!
Tiles is fine, however there’s a lot more Apple devices out there so if you are an Apple user I’d go AirTag personally if you’re buying the tag in part to help locate it when lost out and about.
You can see how many tiles users are near you from the app for what it’s worth which might help.
Great info, really appreciate it!
I have a KeySmart Pro with integrated Tile. Tile is not great. Mine's always got a flat battery when it's needed (yes, I know, charge it, but getting into the habit of charging you keys is a challenge) and you need to pay $30 a year for their premium features. Air Tags leverage the fact there are loads of iPhone around tracking them, I'd have concerns that there were enough phones around running the Tile app to make their 'notify when found' feature remotely useful. The torch in my Keysmart Pro is very average (and I now carry an EDC Flashlight), so doing it again I'd just buy a plain Keysmart. As a key organizer they're great and I wouldn't be without one.
Great info thank you so much!
Also an owner and 1000% agree. Wish they would implement a basic feature to let you know when the battery is about to go dead
I use the samsung tag plus. Works well
i spent $10 and had my ph number etched on a keyring tag.. not as fancy but should work most of the time..
i used this mob; https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000933523785.html
Got mine a couple days ago, I think it is a good device but I wish they made it from the same material as the Pro.
What I like:
* Longer battery life
* Brighter light
* You can setup the keyring without the bottle opener attachmentWhat I don't like:
* Micro USB charging port
* Ringtone selection is stuck on the 90's
* Material feels cheap
