Oculus Referral System Appears to Have Changed?

I was in the referrals section of the Oculus app, and noticed it's looking a bit different.

  • 20 referrals per month instead of 5
  • Specific mention of maximum credit earnable per month
  • A non-unique referral URL that is sharable

You can still send links to your friends if you keep scrolling down, but it looks like there is a static referral link you can provide now.

I haven't tested it, so I don't know if you still have to be Facebook friends with them. But if you don't, then Ozbargain can probably revamp the referral system for Oculus to be a more standard link-based system.

    iOS here and it says max 20. Settle down Facebook I don’t have that many friends.

      That's RNG for you unfortunately. I've been lucky in that I've come up a few times for people, and they've also been okay with the need to be Facebook friends for a little bit. Hopefully this new system eliminates that need and makes people more likely to take up referrals, meaning more referers getting credit.

    Its changing due to the requirement of needing facebook will go going. So it will be easier to refer people very soon

    Hey All,
    First time poster…long time lurcher in the OZB shadows!
    Just bought an Oculus literally an hr ago and came on here to look up about referral system…does this change how I go about things now?
