Good ice-cream. Just not very exciting flavours though.
I find it too sweet. They put too much sugar in it
So is Connoisseur though. Can't think of any mildly sweet ice cream I have had. Weis is probably in that category but then it's not really the same type of ice cream either.
I used to eat this stuff all the time, then the other day I bought a tub after years of not eating ice cream and it tastes just like a tub of sugar.
Now I make make my own. Make a mango smoothie with all real ingredients then freeze it for a couple of hours. It tastes heaps better.Smoothie has yogurt and not condense milk or cream. They taste totally different, hey. Not the same thing. If you were to make a thick/ rich ice cream like those brands mentioned above, then the only thing you could do differently is add slightly less sugar. Not sure how it will taste though until you try it.
Smoothie or frozen yogurt don't taste as good as the real ice creams (health discussion aside) - let's be honest.

Maybe you just don't know how to make a good one? I prefer the taste of my home made smoothie/ice cream to any commercial ice cream.
Honestly I'll take a mango smoothie over ice-cream any day of the week, and I love ice-cream! It just can't compare to the combo of mango sweetness and yoghurt tartness. Well, unless you go to a proper ice-cream joint which has fancy flavours.

Yes, I wish it remained an Aussie owned brand. It got acquired by Peters Ice Cream which is a subsidiary of an European company called Froneri. Not good stuff for the country. The only big local brand I can think of now is Bulla (and probably Weis?).
Nah the Häagen-Dazs Belgian Chocolate is better than Connoisseur Belgian chocolate.
The Connoisseur "New York Fudge Brownie" was the best of all, but discontinued. In fact it's scrubbed from the internet, I can't find any mention of it or pictures of the tub. They replaced it with the custard brownie which is not as good as the new york fudge brownie one.
