So is that good?
Better than $2 light plastic one at kmart?
Actually a good thing. Better light than heavy. At least if or when it falls to the ground, less likely to crack the tiles.
Thanks grabbed one. Was only just thinking I needed one this morning
Was only just thinking I needed one this morning
Same. Until I bought two…
this is the way
What happens after the plastic cracks? Are you wiping it dry every use?
got this a year ago, well made but don't now use it after chipping my porcelain tiles - sticking to the cheap ikea one until i find something else
Thanks for your feedback this is definitely something that concerned me, plastic it is then!
I use the $2 IKEA one too. Looks ugly in comparison but does the job.
How did this OXO one chip your tile when the squeegeeing part that makes contact is rubber? Did the entire thing fall down or something?
I'm guessing it's when he drops the whole thing onto the tile.
Need a bungie cord wrist attachment…
Chipped the corner edge of the tile with end metal bit while squeegeeing along the other edge of the side wall
That's some vigorous squeegeeing you're doing there - bathroom must be sparkling!
@kudoz: haha thanks, do it after every shower and made it a habit - hoping less cleaning and soap scum in the long run
been using the IKEA one and bought the OXO recently in the last deal.
You need to put more pressure on the OXO one.
It's smaller/thinner so gets in to places better.
Also takes longer cause it's not as wide
Does a bit better job, not sure if its 8x better.
If you're on the fence stick to IKEA one, if $16 aint that much for you get this one.
The ones are bunnings like sabaco are rubbish.
Random question, but are there available any window squeegees that screw onto a extendable painting pole?
The ones at bunnings have some weak looking attachment, not screw on.
Thanks OP
Finally bought one
I get about 3 cars per traffic light with this beauty
We got the plastic / non-stainless version of this from Peters of Kensington and it is fantastic. The holder hasn't fallen off the wall since we got it in Jan 2021, the rubber bit picks up all the water and is still in great shape after a year of daily use. Paid $9.50 + shipping as part of a larger order. Would definitely buy again.
@iamjase, there is still a bit of soap scum along the bottom of our shower after using this for 13 months, but that's about it, haven't had to clean the glass otherwise.
For anyone that might be thinking … this thing is lightweight! It's a thin sheet of stainless steel and only weighs a couple hundred grams. Source: earlier purchase
