  • What is the difference between the other model with the dedicated GPU? eg. battery life ? Thanks.

    • graphics performance id assume

  • Good price.
How does this compare to XPS13? In terms of built quality?

    • should be similar since its unibody aluminum.

      • Yeah, but how about the internal design for thermal flow and overall system stability? I’m very happy with my 5 year old xps13 lol

Refer to this. Super detailed review with all you need.

          As for thermals -

Throttling is no cause for concern, since the APU can develop its performance evenly. Noise and heat development are moderate across the entire load range. Usually, little to no noise is heard from the device in everyday use.

  • wasn't there a deal for a similar price with the MX450 GPU?

    • Unfortunately it was 6 to 8 week shipping time vs 2 business days.

Which is absolutely worth it for such a big performance increase

        • Is it though, what are the actual differences in performance?

          • @bunnybash: Considering the MX450 is a bit worse than a GTX 1050 (Laptop) GPU - which was only found in big, 15" laptops just a couple years ago, the MX450 is an excellent addition for this lightweight, good battery life laptop.

I have a similar processor, the 5800HS, so I've had first hand experience with a very similar integrated GPU. I have this integrated GPU paired with an RTX 3060, and it's clear that the integrated GPU can barely be used for anything. It struggles to run games at low settings at native resolution (1440P) and is not ideal for gaming by far. The MX450 on the other hand, isn't anywhere near that RTX 3060 in performance, but it definitely is better than the integrated graphics.

Very nice. But don't need it.

  • Does this model comes with thunderbolt 4?

    • +1

Thunderbolt 4 is Intel proprietary certification. This is an AMD based laptop. USB 4, coming in AMD 6000 based laptops, will have the support for Thunderbolt 3. There is no difference between Thunderbolt 3 and 4 in terms of overall bandwidth. Personally I don't have any use for Thunderbolt as I don't need an external dGPU.
