Centre Com, JB Hi-Fi and other retailers are showing the UK key layout in pictures. I purchased mine from JB Hi-Fi and the Logitech MX Keys has the longer shift and enter key shown on Logitech AU.

      • +4

Yes, the pictures these retailers (and Amazon) are showing are incorrect. The model number advertised on the Amazon website matches that on the Logitech AU website. The latter has pictures showing equi-length shift keys.

The give-away is the UK £ currency symbol on the shift-3 key.

Bought one last year for $139, nice keyboard but takes some getting used to and not for everyone.

The backlight is a bit problematic in that it will activate uncommanded in settings such as well lit room, when nobody is present etc resulting in notably reduced battery life of around a week. Letting this continue its likely you'll wear the internal battery out well before its due resulting in likely chucking out the keyboard if you dont like to replace internal LiPo battery. I've since switched backlight off and only enable when required so as to prolong the life of the keyboard.

I did try a firmware update but to no avail, it did resolve an issue where the backlight would turn off and not come back on but not vice versa.

    Otherwise its a nice keyboard.
    Hope this helps.

Cheers OP! Just grabbed one via Officeworks price beat. Awesome keyboard and well worth it at this price.

Bought my original MX Keys over 2 years ago for little more than this. Posted it as a deal at the time and which got virtually no love from fellow OzBargainers. Fast forward 2 years and it's now pretty much the unofficial OzB keyboard of choice.

Took the plunge, if it doesn't match my k810 I can always return it with prime

I found this to be very buggy with connection when I used it on my M1 mac mini with a unifying receiver. Mx master 3 was even worse to the point I started using an old wired mouse. Had to return them after a week of use and got an apple keyboard and touchpad. Works like a dream. I also had some issues with MX master 3 on work surface pro where the scrolling speed became insufferable for no reason, just touching the wheel would skip more lines than what I set in the settings

i had the same issue with my MPB M1 Pro but then again i had the same issue with my 2019 MBP as well….i ran a USB extender under my tabletop to just under where my keyboard and mouse would sit and the interference disappeared.

      • Yes, same experience.

With filevault turn on, bluetooth connection for logitech keytboard/mouse not working before logging in, and only external apple bluetooth keyboard working ok.

Using USB extension cable, all good, and no interference.

use it for my office pc everyday, excellent productivity keyboard that is really silent, dont have to worry about making a racket when typing.

  • Anyone have the Amper Slim Keyboard? Looks similar, minus backlight and costs about $90.

  • Was contemplating this but ended up getting a Keychron Q1 with linear switches

    • linkk?

      • +1

        Barebone kit

Linear switches, I got the yellow ones which are quite nice
        Switches

      • If you are planning on getting Q1, it might be better to wait until the modifications they've done to knob version to roll out to knobless version.

Basically, they did few minor changes to the design.

        • what knob im looking for one

          • +1

            @capslock janitor: https://www.keychron.com/collections/custom-keyboards/produc…

Not sure whether they've started selling these on other vendors.

If you have soldering skills, I did hear that you could diy knob onto the ones without knob, but I don't have Q1 so I wouldn't know.

I did find the minor adjustments they've done to Q1 more interesting, but that's more because I use MT3 (tall, heavily sculpted 3rd party keycap design) keycaps a lot.

Price matched with Officeworks no problem at all. Thanks OP!

    How’s gaming with it?

I bought this keyboard few months ago, slightly cheaper via one of the Amazon deals.
Overall it's a great keyboard but keep in mind that backlight timeout is only 5 seconds and it CANNOT be changed.

Lots of people complain about it for the last few years and support and developers haven't done anything about it:
    https://www.reddit.com/r/logitech/comments/l6o4hl/how_do_i_c…

You will get 5 min timeout when you use it plugged in via USB cable.

  • Thanks OP I just picked this up from Officeworks. Typing this comment on it right now.

  • Can centrecom put the mx key mini on special please?

  • -1

I got this for work a week ago from JBHIFI, anyways its pretty could, except now the spacebar is squeaky and it's pretty common apparently amongst other users of it as well, sigh.

    • +1

Sigh. Logitech always have hardware issues. Get it right for once!

    • refund

  • Ran into OW and bought 141.5 with price match.
    Thanks

  • Just paid $165 for this other day :/

  • +3

Back up to $165 at Amazon

  • Just cleaned out my local officeworks. The staff said that "other people were using that price match"

  • Thanks OP, reserved one at OW who price beat Centrecom. I prefer the layout of the OW one anyway.

    • Did you have to show centrecom website? My area has no centrecom nearly by with stock and click and collect is not a option…

    • The keyboard photos are of the incorrect model (UK layout) - see comments earlier in this thread. The Australian model has the equi-length shift keys.

      • AU model 920-009418
        Left shift 4cm
        Right shift 4.5cm
I hope you are not a engineer.

  • "five months with backlighting off"
Is this true or not? Intend to use for work so ~8 hours a day.

    • Dunno about five months, but a couple of months (at least two) is definitely doable

  • How does 10% off rrp get so many upvotes every time for this keyboard, it's still $149 with not a huge discount.

    • +2

Same reason why 10% off gift cards get an upvote.
It’s a great keyboard so worth the 10% off.

      • After using this for a week I'm returning it to Amazon, it's a nice keyboard but doesn't compare to the K810 which I stocked up on when it was still available.

    • The RRP of the keyboard is $229.95 as per the Logitech website.

      • True, but it's permanently at $160 on Amazon etc.

    Grabbed a pack of RATs too… :)

    • +1

I must have missed this, but which competitor was selling for $145?

    • Keen to know to how you managed to price match at $145!

    • You overpaid for the RATs

      • ha ha - doesnt matter, just saw them and couldn't be f'ed looking anywhere else. So no real cost.. ha!

    • interested to know $145 seller as Centercom deal has expired

      • They used CCom as 145$
