Grants of Australia Mild Mint with Aloe Vera Natural Toothpaste 110g $3 @ Coles

101

Just trying to bring this Australian made product to people's attention.
It's cheaper than most Colgate products, made in Australia (unlike Colgate and most other brands) and tastes great.
Even Coles own "Aloe Vera" brand is made in Bulgaria.
And it's much cheaper at Coles than at any health store.
Hope this helps someone.
This is a non-fluoride toothpaste.

Isn't fluoride the main cleaning ingredient in toothpaste?

      • +6

Surfactants are what cleans in toothpaste the fluoride is to prevent decay and cavities

May I ask among how many people there are 32 teeth left?

What the hack really? I missed it. I have been waiting for it. Hopefully woolies will do some special soon.

      • +1

Grants not usually goes on sales. Maybe one or two times per year for 40% off sales.

        • Thanks mate. Yeah I have been looking into it. To buy on special so I was waiting to buy it but missed out lol 😃

My favourite at the moment is Oral B Pure. Made in Germany.
Often in discount stores for $1-$1.50 possibly for it's flavour names (Eucalyptus, being the nicer one compared to 'Soft Mint').

If you're after an Australian Made option, Cedel or White Glo are generally better - https://guide.ethical.org.au/guide/browse/guide/?type=83

If you really want flouride free, consider something with Nano-hydroxyapatite as an ingredient. (example: Vital Tooth Tabs) https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4252862/

White Glo is Australian owned not Australian made.

I bought off Amazon, was also on 40% off

I use this toothpaste. Tastes great. Thankfully I've got no fillings and haven't had any need to visit a dentist in more than 20 years.

I bought this on special at Chemist Warehouse for $1.50 last year and I don’t find it amazing. Will probably do the job, but I didn’t like the taste. It’s here cheaper too. Worth If you need something else to get free shipping. Otherwise they are available on Amazon for $3, too. https://www.nourishedlife.com.au/natural-toothpaste/31353/gr…

  • I guess it is better to check what ADA recommends. Australia Dental Association Seal of Approval.
    Approved Toothpastes

    • +4

Mostly Colgate. Seems like ADA have been paid off.

      • TBH, it's hard for them to recommend eg. the toothpaste from this deal, since it doesn't have fluoride, ie. toothpaste without fluoride is for those with fluoride allergy.

        • I get that but surely there's more toothpastes on the market than those listed. Oral B, Dentix etc.

          • @sween64: Yeah…

Products are only awarded the Seal if they tick all these boxes.

            and "these boxes" being:

            the relevant Australian standard

            That famous dental precision.

  • Been using this stuff for many years now. Teeth are a nasty yellow from all my WFH espressos. Highly recommend

  • +1

It has been on sale @ Coles last week for $1.80.
    No deal.

  • Grant's teeth whiting one is by far the best (blue label)
