DSE has these nice looking Philips SRT8215 Universal remote control with Colour LCD Touch screen, backlit keys, programmable and learning features for $64.50 with free shipping. That's half price of its original price of $129.00 and the reviews at Amazon and forums are very positive.

Spec wise, this is better than Logitech Harmony 650/700 and is very similar to Harmony One (15 devices, touch screen, gloss finish etc) but this Philips one isn't rechargeable.

    if you only need 5 devices- i would go with this one. logitech remotes work with basically anything

      But when compared with the Harmony One, this is the better deal don't you agree?. Perhaps it's just me but I think the Philips remote looks to be a class above Logitech.

    As much as I hate the slight delay when pressing buttons (when it's 'asleep'), the Logitech 650 is much better as it has many more physical buttons you can program.

    tempted to buy this, thanks for posting.

    But to really suit what I would like one device that is a :
    * remote for my PC
    * remote for amp, projector

    Any suggestions?

    bought a similar model. software for windows did not install in english even thought it was the english version and mac version could not download. couldn't get it to set up and returned it
