Got to love that 93/100 rating on the game on XBOX One, LMFAO

  • +9

It's worth 25 bucks easy, it's a let down more in the sense of what could have been. But if you have the pc to run it, I recommend a play through

    • +3

100%, just played through the campaign on PC for the second time, brilliant game - plenty of bugs still, but nothing game-breaking (didn't encounter anything game-breaking on my first play on release either though)

    • +6

Have you actually played it on PC? It's fantastic. Stop jumping on the bandwagon.

        • +3

So the answer is no, you haven't played it on PC.

Not a car crash at all for me. One of my favourite games!

            • +3

@AustriaBargain: Haha fair enough. Sounds like just not the game for you then.

              • +3

@Dvbargain: I was a big fan of Witcher 3 and I bought into the hype for CP, got it at the midnight release and preloaded it, didn't read any early reviews or anything to not spoil it for myself, and after maybe 25 hours it just felt like crap despite me being convinced it was going to be great. I got a refund. There was meant to be three different paths/styles for the game but they didn't even deliver on one. It just felt like a game anyone could have made and that we all would have forgotten about quickly.

@AustriaBargain: Sounds like you caused yourself not to like it. I went in with no expectations and it massively surprised. Really enjoyed it.

                  No end game though lol.

No, it sounds like CDPR overpromised and underdelivered. Stop defending shitty developers.

@Kozhutki: I don't care for politics. I don't give a (profanity) who developed it. I enjoyed the game. Simple as that.

                • +2

@AustriaBargain: I was in the same boat. Played it on PC, day one, and refunded it about 4 months later. At the start of the game, it feels/plays like the marketing and trailers that they put out. However, as soon as you finish the intro sequence and watch an in-game cutscene of the story that should be playable, you start to realise that the game is seemingly missing a lot of stuff that was implied or advertised in the marketing. They did flat out lie in their marketing and didn't allow reviews to show footage of base Xbox One / PS4 console gameplay , so I 100% think CDPR deserve the flak they caught for this release, but that doesn't mean it's a terrible game, just a somewhat disappointing game, given the context

Waiting for it to become free on Epic

    • Same lmao its been out for so long now I feel I can wait till its free on EPIC or they release a complete perfect edition =P

  • is this the bottom price?

    • +1

Cheapest ever is around $22 from black market sites, this is the current cheapest for grey market.

    • +2

the bottom price is free, so no.

      • why stop there? bottom price should be $0 with $20 cashback

        • Something tells me cash rewards doesnt track on 'Linux ISOs' haha

  • Are there still major bugs that breaks the game?

Does this game have any dlc? If yes, it is included in this package or should I wait?

Not keen to play this game since I have a large collection of unplayed games

    • +3

I played through whole game in relatively early days and only had one or two quest bugs. Those have since been fixed.

It's extremely playable and absolutely worth it.

No buggier than any other average game now in my opinion.

      There's no DLC yet

    • +1

I played about a month ago and there was about a dozen real pain in the ass bugs where i had to reload a save or restart a major mission. I did have to use a save editor at one point because my inventory was bugged. Another thing was that a bunch of my achievements also became bugged and couldn't be triggered. They ruined some of the enjoyment, but still very playable. It's an 8/10 game, but if you are a completionist or hate bugs it comes down to a 7/10. If you get it, rotate at least 5-10 saves.

  • Is CDKeys trustworthy? Or are they like G2A and similar companies that use stolen credit cards?

    • +3

They buy region unlocked keys from regions where they are cheap and sell them on worldwide. They are reliable in delivering the keys and you will get what you paid for. If you don't care about the morals of buying from a grey market seller, CDKeys is probably the best site to buy from. Instant gaming is okay too. Avoid marketplace key sites like G2A at all costs.

      • +1

G2A is terribad, got ripped off there.
Guess you take that chance when you go to key sites like that :]

    • +3

They are trustworthy and nothing like G2A/Kinguin. Cdkeys are grey market, they purchase their keys from lower priced regions. The keys are not stolen and are as legitimate as buying from the official seller, it comes down to morals at the end of the day.

    • Bought 4 keys from them last Christmas and it's been fine for me. If you use paypal, they will send the code to your paypal email address with the link to the cd key.

    • Whoa what's this about G2A? I've bought about 3 games (successfully) from them but err… I didn't know I was aiding the criminal underworld o.o !

      • Some of the keys there are bought with stolen credit card info. In addition to stealing being bad, if the owner of the credit cards disputes those charges you'll lose access to the games.

  • +1

Just add it to game pass already… lol

  • I tried to buy it, checked out with paypal checkout, all seemed to go ok from the website end, recieved an email saying the order could not be processed, quote:

"We can confirm that the payment for this transaction has been already voided from our end. Your transaction may still show as pending on your account even though your transaction has been canceled, this is because your bank may still withhold the funds which is a temporary hold that should be automatically refunded."

Great. Now I have to wait a week to see if the transaction actually gets reversed. They can't give me a reason for the order failure, just a generic list:

"Our apologies as we were unable to process your order. This might be for one or more of the following reasons:

    ■ We are unable to authorize your payment.
    ■ You are not allowed to purchase the code (region restrictions).
    ■ There may have been a technical error while completing the transaction"

So be warned, they may have run out of keys, or their website may be glitching, but the transaction is on my card, the order failed and support just resends the same cut and paste email.

    • they had some 5 hours ago, so i'm going to guess one of the actual issues they mentioned

      • I think so. As a follow-up, the transaction vanished after about 48 hours, which is nice, so I may try again at some stage.
I did it through PayPal direct checkout last time, I've now made an account at the site and will probably try with a different payment method, see if I can get a better result.

  • Great city, shame they couldn't fix the driving mechanics

  • Would you end up risking your Steam account and all your games if you use this on your main account?

E.g. could they ban you and take all your stuff?

Or is it legit enough that it's ok?

    cheers

    • it's GOG and you can just download the backup/offline files if you don't want to use GOG app.

      • thanks, good to know

    • +1

I've used CD Keys for many years. Not had any issues with any platform I've bought for. Steam (6 titles over 5 years), UPlay, Bethesda.

I actually asked for a refund when I saw the game cheaper elsewhere and I hadn't viewed/used the code and they gave it to me.

I'm not affiliated, just know that they are nowhere near as bad as G2A and my experience has only been positive with CDKeys.

      • thanks for the info - I've heard of lot of people saying to avoid Kinguin and G2a etc.

Are there any others you think are more legit/safer?

  • +1

Has the price increased? is showing as $31.49 now

    • yeah I saw that too

  • +1

It's back to $24.79, so tempting now that patch 1.5 is out!

  • I was just curious - I saw the physical CD/DVD PC version pretty cheap too (but fully legit)…

Are there any issues with buying a phyiscal copy of PC Games these days?

Do most of them still require steam or some game launcher etc?

I assume you just install it off the CD/DVD once, then never need it again - then just get updates as usual?

    cheers

    • Pretty sure all the physical copies just have codes in them to redeem on the gog platform

Out of interest where did you find cheap physical copies?
