Are you sure? Refills are dangerous and require training. Any muppet can perform a swap.
Lol I've done refills working at a hardware store. It takes like 5min training, and just a matter of following the rules.
Lol. In 2005 maybe
Pretty sure in most cases the staff/gas station person will do the refill for you; obviously the swap is straightforward.
Just swap it.
Easier. Quicker. Replacement bottle has been tested.
Swap is easier. So few places do refills these days though they're typically cheaper.
~$5 difference for a ton of f'ing around and time. Pay the difference for convenience.

Stop the earth…. I wanna get off.
Finding a place to do refills can be tricky. Commonly they only do refills at a certain time when the trained staff members are available and not to busy. Some places won't do it if it is raining or too windy etc. Just a pain. Swapping is much simpler.
Swap is easier, but not all bottles are the same. I swapped my BBQ one, then went to put it on the caravan and it wouldn’t fit in the holder. Got the caravan bottle refilled.
Time to swap caravans then. You need to move with the times 😉
I would except buying a new caravan gas a really long wait time. Longer than new cars.
The refill is usually $10 - $15 or so cheaper than the swap.
There is a real difference in time taken. I can't remember exactly, but the refill always seem to take a long time for what it is. Never timed it, but felt like it was about a 15 or 20 minute operation depending on how sharp the person is doing the job and if they are running the servo on their own. The swap is not fundamentally different to any other retail transaction.
Depends how you value your time.

It appears you own your current cylinder. Look for the test date, stamped on the base or neck of the cylinder, it is valid for 10 years. If it's nearing 9 or 10 years, swap it. If you have plenty of time until it needs testing, refill. My local Mitre 10 refills, it's cheaper than swapping it.
Bunnings/gas stations should offer both refill/swap, see which is cheaper and just do that.
Obviously if you bought your own new gas cylinder you'd want to refill it instead of swapping it; up to you.
