Aftermarket iPhone Chargers Always Failing - Any Suggestions?

Hi looking for advice on best iPhone charging cables. Being a true ozbargainer I cannot buy the genuine apple charging cords they are $30 for a single charging cable. The aftermarket ones I buy on eBay or Amazon are usually rubbish and typically fail within a week or two and I have thrown a number of these out. What are Ozbargainer recommendations for aftermarket charging cables?

  • Used kogan lightning cables they lasted 1-2 years, and then tried out AmazonBasics and they have lasted 1 yr so far (no issues yet)

GeNuInE ApPeL cables keep the house quite warm during the winter. Highly recommend

I heard Anker cables are pretty good and Amazon reviews would agree.

Your "true ozbargainer" status seems to be to be taking a battering if you keep buying cheap rubbish cables instead of one good one.

spends $60 on rubbish cables that keep breaking

won't spend $30 on one that would have lasted the entire time

      Ozbargain logic.

I second Blitzwolf for my lightening cables, but for some reason, their USB-C cables all fail to charge on my iPad Air that comes with the USB-C port. It charges all my other USB-C devices without any issues.

    • Baseus, vention, ugreen so far so good

    Kmart one is fine.

  • The ones from Costco have been great. Have been using for three or so years now. 2 for $30.

  • Anker and baseus been OK for me.

I only buy genuine Apple cables because a cable failing is always disastrous. I buy official cables and am gentle with them and they never break. My days of third party cables that stop working or need to be held at a special angle to work are over. I also only have fast charging USB C cables now because my days of slow charging are over too.

  • I get the cygnett armoured ones and usually shop around and get jb hi to price match. Yes costs more than the non branded ones, but they have a thicker cabling protector. They also come with 5 years warranty so guaranteed to work at least five years or they just give you a replacement.

  • i buy "repilicas" on aliexpress, they last like 2-3 years

  • I used to buy the cheap clones but got sick of them stopping working after a few uses so we just use genuine Apple chargers in the house now

  • Energizer metal ones going strong. Have about 6 of them
Only chargers we use. Available at woolworths from memory and rrp was overs but were often on sale. Haven’t had to buy one for ages though. Came in a small metal case, may have been branded “high tech”

  • never yank it, never step on it, it last years, fail to do that, it fails all the time
