Is coffee at 7-11 good or bad? Like, acceptable or rather appalling?
Acceptable. It's better than a lot of the petrol station coffees from my experience. I usually go a short black shot, and then a regular flat white on top. Fits in a $1 cup if you leave off the last hit of hot water.
Technically, should be $2, but they usually just charge on the size of the cup.
Why should this be technically $2? Its always been priced based on the size of the cup. Not how many shots you put in it..
Dunno, figure because you're pushing a $1 coffee option twice it should technically be $2. The issue only comes up if you put it in a KeepCup and they ask. I usually say a $1 coffee, as I figure I'm saving them a cup and lid anyway…
@NigelTufnel: When I wanted an empty cup so I could give a dog some tap water the guy told me it’s charged per cup and not by the contents.
@mapax: So using a KeepCup should be free! /s
@NigelTufnel: Exactly what I thought, I would have made a joke about it but he was already unimpressed about giving me a free cup.
In terms of service station/convenience store coffee, it's the most acceptable
Some 7/11s seem to have extras like soy milk or cocoa dusters that make it actually taste good. I personally leave off the last bit of hot water, it doesn't do anything for it
It is to rinse the milk pipe and it doesn't really affect the taste, to me anyway
Makes it taste weaker to me
Wow - where did find a 7-11 with soy? Never seen one so far ;-(
I know they're in Melbourne CBD but not sure where else, which is unfortunate because I'm in NSW :/
Tell you what if local Coles Express or 7/11 had a soy option I'd go there every day.
I reckon it’s the best coffee you can buy that’s not made by a barista.
To me the Coles Shell coffee is better since: Im given the option to select how strong I want it, 0cal sweetener available, separate sacheted milk pods available. Coffee beans quality-wise should be the same.
FYI this is not in the app, which means a week of unlimited $2 large coffee and banana bread.
This also counts towards a purchase on your app (remember to scan!) so good deal to build up purchase to get freebie :)
Isn't that the normal price?
