Please sir, my liver can only take so much..

    • My partner just said the same thing

I just did the boozebud Cashback, but I guess I can get more alcohol for future me ;-)

    • +2

same… my rationale is booze doesn't really expire, well at least not in the time frame it lasts in my house, so why not load up for future me?

      • +1

This is exactly my thinking. However unfortunately I'm struggling to convince my wife this is a sensible and economical approach… haha

    4-10pm AEST

    • Oops, 4-10 AEDT, edited thanks

Be very, very careful here and monitor like a hawk. Shopback has missed my last TWO bonus cashbacks entirely for Liquorland. One they recognised once I logged a ticket, and they backpaid. The last, from 11 November I've just seen didn't come through - they recognise in their system that I clicked to activate, but when I try to claim it I'm getting the message:

"You have passed the 30 days submission deadline for missing cashback requests. We are sorry to inform you that requests submitted after the deadline cannot be processed by our system. Thank you once again for your support!"

Ummmm… why do I have a deadline for when YOUR system is broken?! It's $20 to me, and I 100% would not have made the purchase without it.

    • Same - I am chasing a couple at the moment from December from other stores.
Strangely they are a higher percentage cashback and that is probably why they have been "missed".

      • I also have a "missed" cash back from Liquorland on 20 Dec. Logged a claim since but still in the "Calculating" mode…

I've had problems in the past (with both Cashback and Shopback), but now I use a dedicated browser with none of the usual extensions (uBlock origin) and haven't had a problem since.

I.e. I use Firefox and Vivalid as my browser, but whenever I make a shop/cashback purchase, I fire up the stock version of Google Chrome and buy through that.

The fault could still be at your end, or theirs, but at least using a clean browser eliminates some sources of error.

      • Nope not my end. I follow all of their excuses to the i's and t's.
It is a tracking problem that persists with Liquorland, First Choice, Myer, Sportsgirl.
        Other companies not a problem.

    • I have the same issue, but mine is with Cashrewards. Mine has now been approved, but she said approved until they find out otherwise (whatever that means). It's 100% an issue at Liquorlands end. Which makes it tricky as to who is responsible. For me, its the front end. If I buy a dud product from a store, it's the stores issue to follow up. You go through these front end stores to buy products.

Basically these cashback sites would be out of pocket a bit and would then put pressure/ a ban on these companies until they clean up their act. So I'd report to consumer affairs accordingly, or simply not collect the order.

Gotyourback and TA are excellent at following things up, but if they don't receive anything from LL, then there isnt much for they can do without logging a case.

What I really don't like is the 7 day delay from when you notice the item didn't track. I'm all for 24hrs, but 7 days is enough for you to lose track of the details they want. Especially when Liquorlands invoice doesnt show discounts applied. I didn't know about the 30 day thing, nor how it conforms to Aussie consumer laws. I guess report it and or vote with your feet.

  • Can i pay with gift cards?

Taylors estate range is on catalogue special. Good price for $125 worth of full bodied Australian owned reds.

    • $135 if you use the code.

The Cashrewards deal on the 12th was pre-GST prices so the limit could be $147.50?

Unsure if the cashback will be calculated on the total or the total after the discount is applied.

  • Are these kinda deals only once per Shopback account, or you can make more than 1 transactions and be eligible for each transaction?

    • +1

Normally you can put several transactions through, but the $25 cap is per account.

  • Pricing is a bit all over the shop with the different bottle shops.

I.e. Case of Mountain Goat Hazy Pale Ale @ Dan Murphys for $49.99

    Liquorland @ $60, $48 after discount.

Used this as an example, but price differences replicated across other brands too. Pricing dependent on states as well due to bottle deposit I think.

A bit more at Dan's, but possibly worth going there (or elsewhere) for certain items avoid uncertainty of rebate going through.

    • Actually, I didn't account for the TENOFF bonus. Ignore my msg, although still valid for normal % off promotions.

    • +1

Same with BWS vs First Choice, just got to shop around and be smart

      • Yes first time I took advantage of these discounts I was so focused on the delicious % cashback I went to all that trouble to pretty much the same price I could've at Dans. I was not smart!

        • +1

Personally I only do these cashback offers if I've got a flybuys/rewards offer I can stack it with (unless they're 30% CB)

Atm BWS is getting my business due to cooler promotion

    • +1

Definitely worth comparing prices, Dan Murphy and First Choice are normally competitive and price match other stores. Sometimes with cashback/coupons/flybuys offers you can get it for less at Liquorland though.

For example I've currently got 30x flybuys points on a case of Great Northern ($50)
Buy that and something else worth $50 = $100
      Use code = $90
      1550 flybuys points ($7.75)
      Cashback on $90 (~$16)
      $90 - 16 - 7.75 = ~$66 for $100 worth of grog

      • Yep that's a great stack/deal. It's like having planets align.

    Legendary

  • anybody else getting an error message when trying to pay for the order. Doesn't matter what I pay with, it comes up with an error and can't process the payment. I've tried clearing cache etc but still no) I rang them and they are saying the promo code is flagging it. I have $100 in the cart and it took it down to $90. I suggested they check to see if the exact $100 amount is flagging it (i.e. it isn't over $100….which is wrong as it says spend $100 and get $10 off) I will try again in an hour or so

    • I've had that problem before, try using paypal

      • I tried Paypal, using both cards on file….no go, tried each of 2 credit cards as a card payment as well, still no go. They said it is the TENOFF code that is flagging it for some reason.

        • different browser?

          • +1

@mouseman99: next time I tried it said code no longer valid lol. I rang them again, they said to do the order without the code and they are going to do a $10 refund to the credit card.

    • I had the same problem using Apple Pay so I used card payment (Amex) instead and it worked

      • lol, I've tried 4 different ways to pay and still won't accept payment

    • This is a perfect example of how the cashback tracking will now fail as their POS page is rubbish.

  • order made at 4:42pm hasn't tracked yet

    • I'm at 5:50 nothing yet either. Site says tracked within 2 days lol

    • Ditto - order confirmed but no tracking yet

  • Does this end earlier than 10pm? It shows 3% cashback.

    • Seems like it

      • Yes, same here.

    • Yeah, shame for me

    • Same here - shame :(

    • +2

      It’s back to 20%

  • Are you going to re-run this promo? I was going to order around 8pm but saw only 3% cash back like the others above, so I didn’t order. It seemed like it ended early.

    • I'm not affiliated with shopback but these promos run relatively often

  • Is this 20% of price excluding GST? I got cashback less than the price without GST.

    • +1

My cashback tracked at the correct rate (20% after gst). If it tracked incorrectly it should be corrected when your Cashback gets confirmed (up to 3 months I think)

  • Ordered at 9.51pm last night - still not tracked. I usually find LL orders with SB track overnight but not this time.

    • Update - tracked after about 35 hours.

  • Well that’s annoying it ended early!
