  • kind of surprised these starter sets come with so few clubs, but I guess they just want to keep the price point low.

a 5 hybrid doesn't really fill much of the gap between a 3w and a 6 iron. Most would be better off picking up a second hand set I would have thought.

    • If you are starting out, it is unlikely you will be using all the clubs of a full set. With the set above you'll only be missing clubs such as a 3-4-5 iron which the 5 hybrid caters for. Plus even if you did get those irons, it's unlikely a beginner would be able to hit them consistency and see the distance difference between them.

      • its unlikely a beginner will hit any clubs well though.

  • +6

Men's Right Hand Club ?I’m in since 12…

    • Will you expand your horizons when you turn 16?

  • Which is the best bang for buck set for a beginner currently?

    • i've been told as a beginner its better to just learn off a 7 iron and stick with it until you get consistent enough before dabbling with a set

    • Depends how much of a beginner you are. But I do agree with the other comment, but I'd say start with a pitching wedge and a 3 wood. You can practice driving with a 3 wood which is easier than a driver and your irons with a pitching wedge.

Pitching wedge has more angle on the head which makes it the easiest iron to hit. And even though a 3 wood has a small head it's much easier to hit than a driver.

Look up beginner drills on YouTube and practice like crazy on the driving range. Hope that helps a bit. But yes you can buy that set if you're just starting out. Stay away from blades if your a beginner.

  • comes with a bag.

  • this is so much cheaper then my mizuno blades. should i sell my clubs and buy this instead?

    • Yes

      • strange, u are the only one that said yes. im wondering if you are giving me good advise. the rest on the course said that this is a stupid set of clubs. i told them this is a great deal and you get a full set with bag.

        • You might be asking the wrong crowd. Don't think there's a big overlap between OzB, GolfWRX and people impressed by your bag setup (as nice as it might be).
