Got these for $299 delivered a few months back. Happy with the purchase, they seem like decent quality. Quite heavy too.

This is a good deal 👍🏼

As the poster of the previous post and owner of this set, I would highly recommend it!
And do future you a favour and buy some Bar Keepers Friend while you are at it!!

    • agreed, barkeepers friend plus stainless steel cookware is the best way

    • +2

nah, just use tic toc hack - baking soda + dish washing liquid + tooth paste

    • I have some burn marks on my stainless steel pan. Will this work?

      • If you mean the brown stuff that appears on the cookware after using on a flame, then yes it will! I've been able to make mine look like new after applying some bar keepers and some elbow grease.

        • I was trying this earlier but what grease are you using. I kept wiping my elbow in grease and olive oil then applying bar keepers like you said.

Gets very messy and doesn't seem to be working. What type of grease do you recommend

          • @AussieMark: Not sure if you are serious or joking. See here
            https://www.google.com/search?q=elbow+grease+meaning&rlz=1C1…

          • @AussieMark: Nah nah, I mean the good stuff. Don't wash your elbow for a good few weeks and make sure to make it sweat on a daily basis. You'll start to see a build of some oily substance, but make sure you scrape all of it off and put it in a vaccum tight container and in the fridge for up to 4 days.
When you want to use it, build up some saliva and phlegm and spit it in the container, and then add some ice and shake it up like a cocktail.
Apply sparingly on the cookware with some bar keepers friend and you'll see the stains vanish away before you even get to blink.

That's a 4 piece set, original deal is a 5 piece - has different stuff

      • Was about to edit my comment. Thanks

    • You have quoted 4 piece set. 5 piece is here.

    • Awesome, seems like a great deal!

Is this $800 worth of saucepans or $100 marked up to to $800 so that it can be sold at $250?

    • +3

The real RRP is like $400 and often discounted to around $320. $280 is a great price IMO

      • +2

So… about a 15% discount of what its worth. Fair.

        • The reason I have been buying Aldi ones as they are good value for money. Bought this one as wife has been wanting to get decent branded ones.

    • +1

Quality stainless steel, so good value. Will last a lot longer than non-stick.

  • +2

Can someone explain what’s the deal with these insane markups of cookware? Almost all the stuff i’ve seen at house outlets have these ridiculous prices on (cookware/ knives/ cutting boards etc) and all of them are sale around the year 🥴

    • +4

      Think of it as rugs.

      • not sure if i understood it 😞

  • +4

RRP of $800 is a joke. Essteele is a good brand:no question about that. I have purchased few over the years, never paid more that $220 for the set. These are always on the sale.
First set I purchased in 2015 for $220(RRP was $390 from Victoria Basement). One of my friends loved the set, so bought them as a gift in 2018 for $239 from Myer during their stock-take sale(RRP $400). Recently I purchased for myself in Dec 2021 from Victoria Basement for $219.

    • Were they the same 5 piece set?

      • Yups!Exactly the same set.
It takes a bit of patience and knack to cook in these copper bottom pots and pan, once you get a hang of it, you will never use non stick ones. One thing to remember is to wash these as recommend by the manufacturer, it will keep your set looking new for years.

        • +2

Do you put them in the dishwasher or is that a sin? I put my cheap stainless steel in the dishwasher.

          • @Fobsessive: Would like to know this.

          • +1

@Fobsessive: It's not a sin to put them in the dishwasher, but there are times the dishwasher does not do the justice. So I wash them manually. If you don't want to do that, at least once a month trying washing manually. You can buy their copper and stainless steel powder (I wouldn't recommend).

        • Too late for me now. Already bought one but didn't want to wait any longer either as already waited for years.

    • +1

I would love them too. PM me ;)

    • +1

Cheapest ever sold by Amazon was $319 in Dec 21

  • Thanks op. Bought one. Have been wanting to get one for my wife for a long time.

  • +2

I have had this set at home for 8 or 9 years now I think. My one warning to anyone purchasing is that they are heavy - I have family members who dislike them due to the weight particularly of the frypan. In saying that I like them and am happy to reccomnd them at that price.

  • +1

have these, great pans. minor oxidation and spotting can appear on the inside sometimes, goes away on next use. absolutely no issues with them.

  • +2

I have the sautese version of this, copper plate was separating from the pan within a year of use, making some very scary sounds, told Esteele and they mailed me a replacement within a week. 10/10 customer service.

  • +4

Auatralian company, made in Italy. I think they may have originally been made here.
I've had the Auatralis version for 20 years, it will out last me and my children.

I don't mind paying for quality.

  • Appears to be Out of Stock

  • I wonder how they work with induction given they are a copper base

    • I've had these pans for 5 years on my induction stovetop and it works great. They look just like that day I bought them too.

esteele per sempre is the set you want ….tri-clad construction, like all clad D3, per vita is just clad bottom .

    • Have the pleasure of using a per sempre at my mum's. It makes our per vita's feel like heavy poor conducting chumps.

  • +1

Considering I was initially going to get Ikea 365 I had to draw the line somewhere south of Solidteknics! Hopefully these will give many years of good service.

Not sure how much better Scanpan is as this is much cheaper.

    • +1

I'd prefer a glass lid which the Scanpan offers but wouldn't really trust the silicone inserts to last as long as solid steel especially if they will be used in the oven.
Scanpan made in China vs Essteele made in Italy, another plus for Essteele IMO.

    • +1

I bought these about 6 months ago, I did a lot of research and most people said ScanPan is junx compared to this, can't remember the details.

      • Cheers, I have cancelled scanpan coppernox 5 pc order which is ready for shipping from Amazon tonight though it costed me only $285.
