Band-Aid Advanced Healing 50% off RRP (Regular $3.59/Large/Jumbo/Blister Cushion) C&C/in-Store @ Chemist Warehouse

750

Was checking CWH for prices on these bandages since I've been using them more now, and noticed that they are currently half price. There's a few other Band-Aid items that are half price which you can check out too. This post highlights some good reasons for using them if you'd like to know why on earth you'd need bandaids this expensive.

I mostly use the regular ones for small cuts/grazes on my hands from climbing/work (I find the regular size quite small, so keep that in mind if you plan to buy these for anything wider than 1.5cm and longer than 3cm). They stick super well and heal the wounds nicely.

Also:
Large
Jumbo
Medium blister cushions
Assorted blister cushions

  • thks love the 50% off band aid deals …only reason i don’t advanced healing more often is the cost and not many in a packet …. great for grazes, which don’t heal as quick as clean cuts.

    • These are very very different. You leave these on for days, as opposed to changing the dressing periodically.
Much more expensive as a result, but they are amazing.

  • Really interested to try these. I occasionally get cuts on the end of my fingers from DIY or gardening and now that I'm 42 if takes ages for it to heal compared to when I was younger. I don't use plasters at all so I assume I'm probably missing a trick because it doesn't heal due to infection.

    • Do you use gardening gloves?

      • Sometimes but the inconvenience of fetching them for a two second job means that I don't always have them on :)

You should wear them, especially if you get cuts. Some of the bugs in the garden can be nasty.

        • Wouldn't that be less inconvenient (not to mention cheaper) than having to get out a band aid and put that on a cut for a day or two?

          • @Trishool: Absolutely. But I don't cut myself every time. And it doesn't solve the fact that I also get cuts doing DIY etc. I have a feeling that any plaster rather than just these one specifically would help me as I tend to have had a view that putting a plaster on would not help with the healing process where as I'm coming to the realisation that it might with my aging body 😂

Tips of fingers get agitated easily, so I would recommend using a spray-on bandage to protect them.

Seems like a bit of a Band-Aid fix to the problem

  • Do not order anything from Chemist Warehouse Online if you need it in a hurry. I was in COVID lockdown and ordered supplies on 3rd January 2022. They are still processing my order as of today.

    • Is click and collect speedy?

      • Did one last week for some strepsils, was ready in a few hours

        • Can confirm, ordered last week was ready in 3 hours.

    • and what did you say to them?

  • Have used these years ago and was really surprised how well they worked for blisters.

  • Did anyone get the blister cushions? Do they also have a sort of 'cut' along the front of the cushion?

  • These aren't really useful for knife cuts or other narrow scratches, but they're fantastic for blisters or abrasions.
I had a nasty, painful scrape on the bottom my foot when travelling; ordinary plasters were useless, but after putting these on it, I could walk on it with minimal pain while it healed.

  • yes, these work exceptionally well for blister, or grazes e.g open wounds where skin has been lost and it has pus…….for knife cuts i use the cheap band aids as it just needs to hold the cur close and keep dirt out.
