Great game. I had low expectations from reviews but frankly thought the stories and characters were good. Reminds me of tales of symphonia which is where i first started and loved the tales games.

    • Glad you liked it! I've been on the fence about getting it but might pick it up at this price.

Only other one I've played was Berseria and I really liked that one.

Definitely need to give Symphonia a go some day too.

Symphonia might be a little bit outdated in the graphics department, but if you can deal with that it's a superb game!

I still remember the long nights of grinding back in my GameCube days :P

        • Graphics don't really bother me much, if anything the dated graphics add to the nostalgia feeling!

Just noticed it's currently $6.89 at humble bundle, might grab a copy of that too to add to the everlasting backlog…

I like the swimsuit costumes in this one

  • Great installment!

This, Beseria, Abyss, and Symphonia are definitely the best of the 'modern' tales series

    • What's wrong with Arise?

      • Oh arise has fantastic gameplay! Story was a bit weak though - compared to Symphonia which has a similar premise, the second half just felt rushed

Interesting! I haven't played Arise yet but I am looking forward to it.

  • Great game great price.

  • I didn’t need this.

    In the stack it goes

Great price, can’t pass up. Thank OP

That game makes assassin's creed redeemable on repetition.

      I don't understand this comment :(

This game has two missable achievement, followed by no chapter select, once you restart new plus you'll be spending over 300 bad hours of gameplay.

        • So it's bad to replay but ok the first time?

        • +1

If you don't enjoy they game, why would you go for 100% on the achievements? Makes no sense. If people just play the games in the way that is fun for them they won't have that problem.

        • Seriously, only crazy people go for 100% on tales games. There's always some ridiculously crazy trophy

  • It's a real shame physical copies of this vanished so quickly.

I planned to pick it up, but waited a few months and everywhere sold out

  • Bought on on sale for PS4 a few years ago and never played it. I find jrpgs a lot more approachable on Switch though. I might bite the bullet and buy it again for my backlog…
