Hello, I have used these cards a lot. I can tell you when they were first released you could. More recently, in the last 6 months you cannot unfortunately.
Worked at my bottleshop! however we recently opened the bar.
The Restaurants one tends to be good at some takeaway store ones like your local joint. But not sure about fast food.
The pub and bar are generally fine at pubs and some cafes even.
As someone mentioned checked the directory.I just put them onto my google wallet and use them when I'm getting takeaway.
Can be a pain though when you have obscure amounts left but if you ask politely to split balance it hasn't been an issue yet.I have used the ârestaurantâ gift card at pubs, and vice versa. Never tried at fast food as I donât eat it.

I grabbed a list of the participating retailer of the TCN Active gift card on 13 Dec and recorded it here.
The TCN website will have a more up-to-date list, but you'll need a TCN Active gift card number to see on the TCN website how you can use the gift card at participating retailers.
- Some will only let you redeem it at their physical stores.
- Some will only let you exchange it for a retailer's own digital gift card.
- The rest will let you do both.

It should be noted that the ebay option seems to require an additional $5 to be added for the exchange? When you look at the details on TCN site, to exchange a TCN for an ebay card, ebay minimim is $30 so not sure how the $25 card works

The TCN Active gift card is focussed on fitness brands and sports brands, and its webpage doesnât list eBay as a participating retailer⌠unless Iâm missing something?
The Online Card has ebay, the Gift Card has ebay…the front page shows ebay…you own list linked above has ebay bolded….I never said anything about the Active card …is it the only one offered in the deal? If that's the case it is a less attractive deal.
I am aware there are a couple of types of TCN gift cards with eBay as a participating retailer, but the only TCN digital gift card that is bundled with the Coles Mobile SIM is the TCN Active gift card.
Also, TCN doesnât sell digital or physical gift cards in $25 denominations through their website, and retailers (e.g. Woolworths, Coles, BIG W) also donât stock any physical gift cards in $25 denominations. Iâve also looked at some online retailers (e.g. Coles Groupâs gift card website) and they also donât sell any $25 TCN gift cards, so the $25 bonus gift card with the Coles Mobile SIM appears to be a special gift card TCN have created specifically for this deal. The fact that you previously said âso not sure how the $25 card worksâ strongly implied you were referring to the TCN Active gift card in the deal, because thereâs no other TCN gift card sold or given away with a $25 denomination.
Sure, you can redeem a $30 eBay gift card from a $50 Online gift card (for example) and have $20 left on the Online gift card, and then TCN has allowed you to get into a situation where the balance on the Online gift card ($20) is lower than the minimum swap amount ($30), except you said âthe $25 cardâ, which doesnât sound like this situation.
I think you can see why I thought you were only referring to the TCN Active gift card.
@WookieMonster: I didn't realise that it was only the Active card being offered (I obviously read the listing too quickly!)…doubt I'll take up the deal …if it had been other cards then it would have been worthwhile…guess I'll just wait for a good Catch deal etc…such is life.

If it is the Catch/Spotify/Pamper/Pub&Bar gift cards, the sale is only available at Coles supermarkets. It is not available at Coles Local, Coles Online, Coles Express or Coles Groupâs dedicated gift card website.
If it is the $25 TCN Active gift card bundled with the Coles Mobile SIM, it will be emailed to you after youâve activated the SIM card and created your Coles Mobile account.
So those who dont have coles mobile sim cannot buy coles mobile recharge 120GB?
I just bought the same $119 SIM card plan for $99 3 days ago from coles store. I havenât open it or activated it. Anyone knows if I could return it and get a full refund or not? Thanks.
That sounds like a change of mind refund to me, and the answer to your question is no.
Although Coles has a change of mind policy, it does not apply to SIM card packs sold through Coles supermarkets for a couple of reasons:
Coles Mobile is simply a brand used by Optus to sell Optus services. Coles Group only acts as an agent for selling/promoted Coles Mobile services, so staff at a Coles store would have no way of knowing whether or not a new account has already been set up on that SIM card pack.
The SIM card is âactivatedâ (for a lack of a better word) and has the $119 loaded onto it after you finalise payment and the Coles POS system contacts a third-party company to accept the funds and automatically âactivateâ the SIM card pack for you. This means there is generally no straightforward way for staff at the Coles store to request a return of these funds from the third-party.
If you were returning the SIM card pack due to a reason permitted under Australian Consumer Law (e.g. not fit for purpose), staff at the Coles store would required to assist you.

The Coles mobile offer $99 for $120 runs till 01st Feb however the $25 active GC promotion is only listed in current catalogue and not in next weeks.

No issues here. The "Click here" had a link and worked first time, still works just tried it. Using Gmail.

I already have a Coles SIM for my daughter, but not sure if I buy and port a different number, this is a 'new' customer.What I will do is to create a brand new account with a different email address to your existing one and after that following the activation steps choose to have a new mobile number or port a mobile number that currently served by other network providers.
