I missed out on the recent Banggood deal and noticed Hekka has the CN version slightly more than their last offer.

didnt know Hekka are also devil worshippers

  • +2

Worked out to be AUD$40.10 via PayPal - Chose this method to maximise refund chances if DOA or warranty issues. Thanks, OP.

    • +2

Will it be cheaper if you pay usd in paypal and bank charges extra 3% for foreign exchange fee?

      • +1

Yeah, it's normally better to let the bank handled the USD conversion.

        Which bank are you with?

    • +1

AUD$38.92 for me paying USD via PayPal (letting the bank/Mastercard do the conversion)

  • The wuben deal from hekka inspired a lot of recent post on Hekka.

  • i'd avoid hekka like a plague

    • +21

      You don't think it's a hekka'va good deal?

    • Can I ask why

  • +5

Got this when it was US$24.99.

Wearing it right now. Good product.

    • Any issues with it being the CN version? Do you know how it differs from the global version?

Probably should have checked before ordering but the replies to the other deal seem positive so I just got one.

      • +1

Can’t help you there sorry. Don’t know what the differences are. It’s in Chinese when you first get it but easy to change in the app.

      • +11

I got a CN and Global version.

Both exactly the same side from packaging.

Once you pair the CN one to a phone that's set to English, it changes language automatically.

I recommend using the Notify for Mi Band instead of using the Xiaomi app.

        • Totally agree with the recommendation of Notify for Mi Band

          • @sk3iron: Notify looks like a good app (although seems to be a lot of issues going by the reviews.
Also a bit hestitant about giving a small developer in Europe access to all of these (although I realise a lot of this is needed for the functionality):
            This app has access to:
            Calendar plus confidential information
            Contacts
            Location
            SMS (read & send)
            directly call phone numbers
            read call log
            read phone status and identity
            Photos/Media/Files
modify or delete the contents of your USB storage
            take pictures and videos
            record audio
            Device ID & call information
            read phone status and identity
            Wearable sensors/Activity data
body sensors (like heart rate monitors)
            view network connections
            pair with Bluetooth devices
            access Bluetooth settings
            full network access
            change your audio settings
            run at startup
            draw over other apps
            prevent device from sleeping
            set an alarm
            Google Play license check

      • +1

I believe the only difference is the packaging.

      • You won't be able to use the CN version with NFC payments in Australia.

        • +2

That's a bit misleading because neither does the global version.

          • @sk3iron: Oh wow, I've been lied to then.

    • Can I ask what real life battery life is with light use?

      • +2

This is a very rough answer. Between 1.5 - 3 weeks? I have a basic setup in that most of the flashier things like sleep monitoring are turned off. Think I’ve charged it twice since December 8, 2021.

        • Cheers

      • +1

I have pretty much everything turned on (sleep monitoring, heart rate every min, notifications, no night mode, no dnd mode, etc) and it lasted just over a week when I first got it in May 2021, now down to around 5 days.

The rubber band has broken a few times (maybe every 3 months) but it's only $3 from ebay.

My touch just failed, probably because I've used it while kayaking a few times in salt water, but I'm happy enough with it that I'll be buying another one to replace for daily use, and keeping the non-touch one as a basic watch while kayaking.

    • Does it have always on display option?

      • No it does not

      • Not always on, but it does have a "Lift to turn on" feature so if you lift your hand to look at the watch face…it will turn on the display.

    • Bought from the same deal. It took a while for it to arrive but once it did, no issues since then. Also using the Notify for Mi Band app and it's been an absolutely amazing device, particularly being able to keep the screen locked during workouts so that you don't accidentally end the workout.

  • +1

    Thanks, bought one
For those who are curious about what are the difference between CN ver and Global ver, the CN ver you get Chinese language when first start up
There is another thing, which is not too relevant here is most Xiaomi band sold in China AKA CN ver are NFC equiped for use like contactless payment, public transportation, security gate taps etc, but those CN ver sold outside China are obiously non NPC equiped

    • +2

There're 2 versions in China, NFC equipped and non NFC equipped actually.

      • Can the NFC on the CN version be used here for things like contactless payment and public transport?

        • To my knowledge, No… sadly.

          • @PAXA359: No. There is no google pay support (which would make that possible).

  • anyone got a rec on a band which isn't so sweaty?

    thanks for the deal!

  • How long does it take to get delivered?
    Thanks

    • +2

Mine took about 10 business days from the last deal.

Also ordered a Xiaomi shaver from Hekka on another deal and was about the same.

  • Is it easy to change it to English language ?

    • +1

Someone mentioned that the band's language changes to the language set on the mobile phone it is paired to.

  • What's the difference between this and the Xiaomi Mi Band 5 Smart Watch?
    https://hekka.com/products/original-xiaomi-mi-band-5-smart-w…

  • -1

ive miband 5, you get what you pay for. band broke in 6 months. sometimes display does not respond instantly but meh it works i guess

    • the band they give you is shit as, i got a nylon one on ebay to replace it

    • My band 4 has survived 2 years with daily use. Strap is fine still but the display has some built up scratches

  • I love my band 6. My favourite watch because I forget I'm wearing it and can wear it to bed for sleep tracking.

    • is the sleep tracking any good? what metrics does it give you

      • +1

My band 5 is pretty good, gives you Deep sleep, light sleep, REM and time awake. I find the time awake isn't as accurate as say fit bit I used to have. I assume 6 is the same with the added Oximeter..

        • The sleep breathing score is kind interesting. I was getting high nineties until the night I didn't use my cpap machine. Then it tanked. So, it might be a rough indication that you should consider getting tested for sleep apnoea.

discount code doesn't work if you want to buy 2?
    weird

    • Clear cache, use different email and credit card. Was then able to buy one for him and her.

      • Only got one card and didn't work with PayPal 🤣, ah well, will wait for another sale

  • This or the galaxy fit 2

    • Galaxy Fit 2 looks good! Any deals on that?

      • After a quick look, Kogan seems to be the cheapest at $60

  • Ordered one, will report back when it arrives!

    • My order was silently changed to fulfilled with a tracking code today, same as what others are reporting in this thread.

  • Found the fine print hard to read on the MIB5, is it more readable on the MIB6 ?

  • Ordered 2 (his and hers) as a first experiment device with a running basic datalogger (and neither of us own a watch).

  • +1

Does the o2 Sats monitor simply record or does it have an alarm if low Sats feature¿

  • Has anyone received any notice that their order has been sent for delivery? I've only received the order confirmation (ordered 14th Jan)

    • +1

Ordered the 13th, 24hrs before posting the deal and nothing yet.

  • +3

Still waiting on my order also from the 15th, Auspost has "approved" my shipping information but that is about it. I assume others are still waiting also?

    • +1

      Yep. Exactly the same situation

    • +1

      same same

  • -2

Do NOT use Hekka, they use Amarex

I had to drive 1 hour to pick up my Wuben torch from Hekka

Watch my video, stay way from Amarex and Hekka

    https://youtu.be/Ydf19WPPo2M

    • +1

All the comments have mentioned Auspost for this. Mine is the same.

    • +1

Aramex are easily the worst, but all info at this stage is that it's going via Australia Post.

Is that an hour long vid of you driving to pick up your parcel?

      • +1

Yes, one hour to drive to and from to pick up parcel from Aramex Hume, Canberra, like middle of no where. It's like driving from Sydney CBD to like Parramatta

  • Ordered 17th January. Still waiting for the delivery.

    • Does not help you but ordered 15th. Just got Auspost email today. Expected delivery between Monday and Wednesday this week…we shall see

      • +1

Ordered on 15th, no email from aus post.

      • Does it say the sender is "IM" as I got an aus post email but the tracking number is different to the one hekka provided

        • Sender was LEEYOUNG HK

Just for info it arrived yesterday evening, so 15th Jan to 2 Feb

  • +2

Mine has arrived in Melbourne on the 28th so should hopefully only be a few more months.

    • Australia post just delivered mine in Melbourne, 19th jan to 3rd feb not bad considering the current events.

  • +2

Ordered on 20th, still stuck on shipping information approved by Australia post…

  • Here is my timeline:
    Ordered 13th January
    Shipped 18th January
    Departed China 26th January
    Arrived Australia 28th January
    Processing Australia Post 31st January
Out for Delivery in Melbourne 3rd February

    I used https://parcelsapp.com/en
to check updates. Hekka and track718 were below average for shipping info.

    • +1

Thanks for the update and +1 for the parcel app.

      Just ordered a band myself

  • +1

    ordered 15th jan, received today.

  • Ordered 19 Jan
    Delivered 4 Feb
    Perth, WA

  • Ordered 17th January. Received 01st February,

  • Glad my first deal worked out and everyone is getting their band. Was a little worried but 2-3 weeks from China is expected.

Really like it so far. Using the mifit app after trying notify. Mi band 6 faces app has some decent screens.
General tracking seems to be accurate although it missed 3hrs of sleep last night.

For <$40 the wait was worth it and am very happy. Just need to stock up on some different straps.

  • +1

    Ordered 15/1, received 4/2. Melbourne.

  • +1

    ordered 30Jan, received 17Feb

  • How long does Hekka take to give atleast a tracking number?

  • Just got mine today. Anyone else fails be to add the device because of the region verification?
