    Ugh, my liver…. Good deal

  • Good one

  • Capped?

  • +1

    Capped at $30

    • +14

if you're trying to work out the sweet spot for maximum value:

minimum: spending $100 with TENOFF to go with a $90 outlay and getting $18 cashback

      = $72 for $100 buying power

maximum: spending $160 with TENOFF to go with a $150 outlay and getting $30 cashback

      =$120 for $160 buying power

Any higher or lower is just a waste of ozbargaining

      • +2

Isn't cashback without gst? Or did they change it?

        • Honestly I don't know and havent used it before. That's a good point.
that would mean $16.20 or $27.00 respectively

        • +3

Yes exactly, its more like 18% cashback. It's actually very deceptive and confuses/tricks just about everyone

          • +2

@harthagan: These calculations do not seem correct. You maximise the % of the $10 discount (at 10%) if you spend exactly $100. The most you can spend before hitting the $30 cash back cap is $165 plus the $10 off (assuming the $10 is deducted for your cash rewards calculation) - ie $175 - in which case that discount is 30/175, ie 17.14%. However, your cash back discount is maximised if you only spend $165 (30/165 = 18.18%) - or below. Your total discount is maximised if you spend exactly $100, ie $28.18/100 = 28.18%. Your discount for a $165 spend is 40/165 = 24.24%. Those are nice % discounts. Don't forget to actually use the discount code if you spend $100 or more !

            • @belbo: I wasnt saying anything about discount. Just clarifying that the cashback excludes GST portion, so you actually get roughly 18% cashback on the entire purchase price

      • +2

AUD 164.52* is the sweet spot according to my tracked cash rewards email :)

  • Lemme guess….. $30 cap and must spend $150 for free shipping.

    • +1

Last time they did free shipping, it ended up at the post office, who were only open 9-5 M-F and I couldnt go get it for days. I just C&C now

      • +1

There is an option in checkout to advise the courier to leave at the front door. I suppose this does not guarantee they will do it.

        • +1

They refused to leave it even when I talked to em via doorbell cam :(

    • +6

I tend to disagree, CR reps like TA and others are awesome and incredibly helpful.
Been using CR for years and never had an issue once.

    • +2

As opposed to ShopBack?… sorry I mean, Shop “Maybe”

      • +1

This. Haha.Always had trouble with shopback. With last firstchoice, they didnt track the right amount. I complained and they said whats done is done. So I cancelled the order. Then they said sorry etc and corrected the amount. Point is I wasted my time.

  • Need to resist, had 2 hang overs last week

    • +11

on the other hand you had 5 without. Jump in!

      • You assuming the hangovers only last one day?

    • +1

You only have an hangover if you stop…. just saying

  • +2

Tracked very quickly, however incorrectly. ~$150 purchase showing as $9.09 purchase.
This has happened once before, last time I waited a couple of hours and it automatically corrected itself.

    • same for me, $9.09 purchase with $1.82 in cashback

      • +1

Mine corrected itself about an hour ago. Login to your cashrewards account and check it, should show correctly. Ignore the email.

        • Unfortunately not. $106 purchase with $10.18 cashback reported in both email and CR account (app & browser).

sigh. here we go again CR.

          • +1

@MattyD: Hi. I'm assuming your purchase tracked as $50.91? Please allow a few hours and your purchase amount and associated cashback will auto-update to the correct amount. We have already flagged this issue with Coles prior to Christmas which affects a very small percentage of sales and we're hoping they will apply a permanent fix soon. Thank you.

            • +1

@tightarse: Correct! I should be more patient, per Tool's comments. It must be frustrating that CR regularly cops heat for issues caused by the retailer.

Thanks for being a great ambassador TA!

              • +1

@MattyD: No worries at all. Let us know when it’s fixed :)

                • @tightarse: Tracked perfectly after correction in my account, just like you and Tool said it would. I'll give it more time before grumping next time - thanks again!

  • +2

of course didn't have this when the 2000 FB points for $50 spend was on….will wait till they coincide again.

    • Not that they will honour the points anyway.
It was raining points before xmas, 2k here, 1.5k bonus there, 3k flypay…. I didnt get a single point (need to follow up as per usual).

  • +1

Thanks OP, bought the Lark, just enough for the $30 cap and free shipping!

  • Anyone getting TENOFF removed ?
The promo code you used is no longer valid and has been removed. Please review your cart and retry your transaction

….Weird for an exact $100 purchase - using Amex gave me that error - paypal worked fine :)

  • +1

    Thanks OP

I thought the 1.75L Bombay Sapphire Gin was a good pickup (click and collect where they have stock).

    FirstChoice has it for $109.
    Minus the TENOFF = $99
GST on that is $9, so the cashback should be $18

So should end up costing me $81 (which works out to $46/Litre - Dan's is $67/Litre bottle atm)

A good 'go to' gin - not for G&Ts where you want special tastes, or Negronis say … but great for many cocktails that call for a London dry style (and where one doesn't want the Gin to flavour/overpower the cocktail).

    • +1

Also helps that the 1.75L has a higher ABV than the normal 700mL.

  • +2

I really don't like firstchoice's website. Find a product, in stock. Add to cart. "item removed from cart because it's out of stock in QLD". Rinse and repeat.

Also, why do Australian websites call it a cart?

    • +1

Yeah it's annoying. Apparently they don't have any cask wine in QLD?

    • good point, it should be called a basket or trolley!

  • +2

Any wine lovers can combine it with this deal, 12 selected wines for $120:

    https://www.firstchoiceliquor.com.au/specials/any-12-for-120…

    • $10 off, then $21.82 cashback (confirmed) makes it $88.18 for a case of 12 decent wines.
      $7.35/bottle
      Nice deal

      • Thats really good price, considering some of these wines were $20-$28 each.

  • You beauty! Came in just in time and have picked up 2 bottles of Belvedere for about $43 a piece.

    • +1

      Are you me?
I did the exact same thing, I just picked them up from Ascot Vale!

  • My transaction is also tracked for only $40 for a $122 spent. @tightarse - Please help. Hope this will be rectified automatically? Else I will cancel the transaction.

    • Yep, as stated previously, please wait until Coles updates these transactions. I can't see it being an issue at all. Thanks.

  • My transaction hasn’t tracked, probably because its not in my click history. Have a screenshot of transaction with cash rewards back ground. Will this be enough to have a successful outcome?

    • Hi. If it's not in your click history, you didn't activate or click out from 'Shop Now' on Cashrewards, and as such a claim will be unsuccessful.

      • Seems to have just tracked. Still not in click history. Will it get rejected based on what you said

  • @tightarse my purchase wasn't tracked so I waited and then lodged a claim on my click. I've just been told it has been rejected for using TENOFF which they claim wasn't listed on Cash Rewards

    • Thanks for the DM TA, have responded now.
