  • Very tempting. Good deals for women too.

  • Just remember to buy one sizing up. If you're a M, get a L.

    • Lol just read your comment after your ordering. Dammit

I wouldn't worry too much. I haven't found that the case for any Patagonia gear apart from some of the non P-6 Logo Responsibili tees. Everything I've bought has been true to size. I received two Uprisal hoodies as a gift. 1x L and 1x XL. I'm 6'3 and they honestly have a very similar fit.

    • I had the opposite case with my Uprisal hoodie. I found my L a bit big. Fine if you want a baggy jumper for around the house.

    Great post! Thanks OP

So I just moved to Melbourne, and it's just a competition to see who has the biggest logo on their shirts (or in this case hoodie). Patagonia seems like the biggest to virtue signal how environmentally aware you are… just shut up dude. Don't get me started on people who go to vintage market in brunswick st, not bad for a bargain though.

What's wrong with vintage /second hand stuff?

      Angry man.

      • -5

Maybe I am just an angry man… and it's not the idea of buying second hand stuff, but the general people that end up going there… Maybe I should stay south of the yarra lmao

        • +1

Maybe lol. I also dislike posturing (profanity) but I do love a second hand bargain. Some of the shops in Brunny have cool vintage shit.

      • Nothings wrong and it's actually quiet good young gen are into vintage fashion and clothes get reused but demand for certain brands are so high and so does markups, It actually defeats the purpose of op shops.

    • What are you on about?

Sounds like you should reevaluate your ways or change your immediate environment if you experience such concerns about… logos.

Am I missing something here? Where's the bargain? $72 for a freakin hoodie? Good Lord.

    • Their stuff lasts forever, so it's a false economy buying cheaper stuff many times over. Check out their Iron Clad Guarantee. That's the bargain.

    • Not the cheapest hoodie, but also not Uniqlo, Quicksilver, etc. so better quality and ethics, not simply monetising on the brand name or exploiting people (from what I heard).

      • -5

Not sure you can say better quality, a quick comparison with Uniqlo's hoodie shows it actually contains more cotton % than Patagonia.

        Patagonia - 10.9-oz 47.5% recycled cotton/47.5% postconsumer recycled polyester/5% spandex fleece.

        Uniqlo - Body: 100% Cotton/ Rib: 86% Cotton, 14% Polyester/ Hood Lining: 61% Cotton, 39% Polyester
        https://www.uniqlo.com/au/en/products/E419501-000?colorCode=…

        • That's material, not quality necessarily.

May come down to preference too.

          • +1

@pizzaguy: Patagonia material is also mostly recycled material fwiw

        • -1

You're talking about material, not quality.

In terms of quality, Patagonia stuff is better than Uniqlo. Uniqlo has gotta be the most overrated brand, it's better quality than trash but its really nothing special.

          • @WatchSnob: I disagree. You can literally google "how to determine quality of clothing" and the first few sites all list material/fabric as the main indicator of quality, not just my personal opinion.

When you go shopping for a new suit I'm sure no one is looking to buy a well made polyester suit thinking they're better "quality" over the natural cotton/wool fabrics, regardless of brand.

  • What a fugly hoody.

  • are there mountains in Fitzroy?

  • How is a 72 dollar hoody a bargain?
