I'm considering the $49 + $20 for 12 Months (Total Min $828). Do you guys think the price will drop within this month or so?

for now, it's the best deal available especially if you combine the buckscoop/moneybackco cashback offer..
Prices do not drop much on 12 month contracted phones.
emmm good points! I don't need a new phone until the end of this month, but i'm drooling all over the damn thing already! probably wait for a couple more weeks and see if anything else comes up. Thanks for your input guys!
I got it for 49+10 over 12 months, my contract was running out soon. they wanted to keep me
Did you get the beats headphones with it at that price?
Yes!

I'd much prefer to just buy it outright, then go on a $16/Mo LiveConnected plan, or a redbullmobile/amaysim plan.
Because you own the phone, don't have to pay it off, and are able to leave the plan when ever you want.
Plus you're not stuck on a carrier.
well I still got the better deal as I do have a good reception in my area from voda…. so it comes to 708 where as from kogan 569+19 + 12*16 + 20 for starter on amaysim = 800 if my maths is correct. And this helps me not to pay 588$ up front.
I'm in pretty much exactly the same situation as you - any tips on how to score that deal? It never even occurred to me before that I could negotiate with telcos.
I couldn't get them to budge any lower from $20 a month. Tried 2 different stores and online sales team.
I saw a ad at forum, and I have seen their products!

Considering that it is a newly released phone, prices will DEFO fall soon, as more carriers introduce it.
But as an early adopter, price shouldn't stop you from enjoying your new toy!
Bottomline: Though it doesnt seem like the super-awesome deal (like prev ones from vodafone like the lumina 900 series), as a normal deal itself, it seems decent. dont forget your cash back from buckscoop!
cheers.
