Cooler Master MasterBox NR200P Mini-ITX Case White $95 + Delivery ($14.90 to Metro VIC) @ Shopping Express

380

Ozbargain's favourite SFF case back on sale at shopping express.
Sale available in white only which usually carries a premium.
Not historical cheapest which was an afterpay deal which was $83.40 plus delivery:
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/645480

The NR200P includes both mesh and tempered glass window with PCIe 3.0 x16 riser cable is included

I've been eyeing this for a long time and decided to bite the bullet.
Including delivery to Metro VIC was $109.90 via zip to avoid paying the extra 1% fee when paying by card/paypal

Open to suggested for a suitable SFX PSU.

Might want to update the title, because $85 $95 is a terrible price for a vanilla NR200 😉

This is an incredible deal considering it includes a PCIe 3.0 x16 riser cable

The best sfx is the Corsair SF750 750W 80PLUS Platinum

Riser cable nice, perfect for mini rig.

Can this fit a true 3x GPU unlike my H210i?

    • The H210 can barely fit a 30XX GPU. Can't comment on a 3 slot in this case. But I have a 3080 Gaming OC which is over 320mm long and fits this case with a 240mm rad.

      • Pretty sure he did mean 3 slot. H210 can only do around 2.2 slot :(

This guy managed to fit a gigabyte aorus xtreme, an unnecessarily thick gpu.

          https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HHLwcewg4pk

Could probably fit most 3 slot cards if you can fir that it

          • @Butt Scratcher: Agreed :)

            • @Dvbargain: It’s all a bit murky… it fits a 3070, but most 3080 or a 6700XT or above is out

              • @[Deactivated]: Due to what measurement though

                • @Dvbargain: Mostly the width, with AMD favouring a full 3 slot for most high performance cards.
                  They simply won’t fit…

Of course the length is an issue too.. but some cards fit under the max length, especially a few eVGA like XC3 3080, but it’s hard enough to get any 3080 let alone a specific sample.

                  • @[Deactivated]: Why are you referring to the GPU to gauge the size?

Look up the graphics card I linked, you'd be hard pressed to find any coolers that are larger than that

                    • @Butt Scratcher: Lol, I just realised. That graphics card is closer to a 4 slot card than a 3 slot card…

Makes me wanna make a build with this case now

NR200 is usually under $60 on sale though..

  • Throw away the glass (mesh works best), but for the price you get the PCIe riser so this is still a great price.

    • Depends how you have it set up, with a case like this you can manage a “chimney” effect which actually works a little better with the glass. There was a video on this, can’t remember which off the top of my head though

      • Agree, I'm running my fans in a chimney effect, two drawing in the bottom and two out the top.
Never had any heat issues with the TG Panel.

If I do need to build a new PC I always grab a case with a dvd rom bay in it as I still use a Blu ray rom so I can rip my media to put on the plex server

    • I used to do this, but the selection of nice mid-size and compact cases with 5.25” bays has dwindled significantly in recent years. I ended up putting my Blu-ray drive into a USB enclosure since I only rip movies occasionally.

    • Same thing in black. $78.75 + ~$20 delivery - nice

  • be aware when you buy these mini-cases. They only support limited types of PSUs. I bought a LIAN LI casing recently and it only supports SFX
Better buy a mid-size casing. you can get a good Corsair casing for about 100-110

Agree there is certainly a SFF - small form factor tax.
There is a growing community on reddit on this case and SFF in general
      https://www.reddit.com/r/NR200/

Its a very versatile case, although I agree the need to upgrade my ATX PSU to a more expensive SFX is a downside.
Next deal will be on a good SFX PSU

When people buy a mini itx most people know what they are getting themselves into, if you didn't know most only support sfx thats on you for not doing your research beforehand.

Are there coloured ones for this price or white only

  • +1

Nice versatile case! I have the Fractal Define Nano S for my gaming rig and couldn't go back to a micro/full sized case.. love the SFF with window on my desk

  • Attempted to print the ATX bracket but the print failed, I would have been better off paying the extra $26 for a metal third-party bracket from Amazon.

In the end I paid $100 for a new SFX instead of using the ATX-PSU I already had, plan ahead and don't assume you can fit your ATX power supply afterwards.

That being said, this case is popular for a reason and it's worth getting the bracket on top, unless you plan on using and SFX PSU.

$100, thats not bad for an SFX PSU. Can I ask what you got and where you bought it?

Should have only cost $81 including shipping, which is appropriate for a budget 300w PSU. I paid an extra $19 for eBay to get the SocialGood crypto cashback offer, that may or may not pay out.

        Its powering an RX460-4GB / i5-4430 / 2x4GB DDR3 machine that barely uses more than 200w.
