Hi,
Had a strange situation this afternoon. I got a phone call from a person in NSW saying that I'd called their number and they were returning my call. The only issue was, that the phone I was using was a work phone which hadn't made any calls since Wednesday, with none of them being the number that appeared on the work phone. This got me wondering, is it possible for someone else to ring another phone and give the impression that the call was being received from another number?
Even though I didn't know the person, they were willing to answer my questions as to whether or not they had my number prior (no) and why and where they were ringing me from (returning the call and based in Newcastle, NSW).
Should I be concerned about this and what can I do to ensure that phone hasn't been hacked? (it's an iPhoneSE 2nd Gen)
TIA
