Truly outstanding game…Make sure to use a pro controller, your poor little joycons will be begging for mercy!

    • +1

True but it's not a deal breaker either.

    • I only ever played with joycons

DLC bundle discount is not great due to some being very new and having no discount.

Of the 3 items, 1 is 50% off and 1 is 30% off.

    • Fair observation. Do people reckon it's worth getting the one DLC that's 50%?

      • +1

I got all DLCs and found them to be totally worth it. Each new biome has some unique new art, enemies, traps. The DLCs also add new bosses. Not to mention that you will be supporting a small independent games studio that deliver fair value for your money.

Dead Cells is a totally addictive game. No way you’re not going to get the DLCs once you’re hooked.

        • After one day of gameplay, you're right. I've bought the two DLC that are on sale!

Must own Switch game, you’ll thank me later

    • How similar is this in gameplay to Hades? Is it different enough to warrant playing them both?

      • +2

Nothing like Hades at all. Both good games and each is worth playing. You can be the judge of which is better.

      • +1

I think quite different to Hades and worth playing both.

I do enjoy Hades more though. I never feel in dead cells that I'm having this amazing run. While sometimes in Hades everything comes together.

Also in dead cells in not sure I like the level layout as much.

      • Dead cells gets hardcore after the first one or two difficulty settings. Hades is forgiving until you add about thirty points of detrimental conditions (max is about 50)

        Hades is easier.

      • It’s a rougelike, but that’s where similarities end.

      • just buy it, 100% guarantee you’ll love it:)

        • Can confirm I don't regret buying it!

          • @Wontons: as you play more you’ll be absolutely in love with it

  • This is one amazing game, I’ve sunk countless hours into that one. New DLC is also out today.

It does struggle on the Switch in some later biomes where the framerate can tank with many enemies on screen. Not to the point of not being playable though. But unless you want to play in handheld mode (as I do), I’d probably go for the version on other consoles or PC.

    • At least on the latest version, a lot of the framerate issues on the Switch seem to have gone (docked mode player here)

  • I own this on iPad, suprisingly great even without proper physical controls. Would recommend
