As long as you don't live near other people, you can enjoy an evening with the noisy pump.
They aren't really that noisy
Might set it up in the living room in front of the tv…
AMSR time ?
Sounds like a vacuum cleaner…
Cost a fortune to run if used often, but really good deal. Had a similar one (possibly the same) and loved it.
Maintaining is easy just read the instructions, and ensure you clean the filters every 2 weeks or whatever it tells you. Pretty sure they just take bromine tablets.
Can it heat the water?
It pumps the spa up and heats the water
Do these need to be fenced? Does it come with a cover?
It's a portable spa with cover
In Victoria it would need to be fenced and have a certificate of inspection from a building surveyor.
11/10 would get one if legal.
YMMV
Yeah Vic rules are a bit over the top, even nsw has more lax restrictions, and I bet my ass, way more crazy people in Sydney than anywhere else.
I don't get why a lake next to a playground doesn't need a fence but a spa with a hard cover behind a property fence needs another one (other than the fact they want people to pay for it π)
@lachhelix: Simply because a backyard pool/spa is 100x more appealing to a small child than a brown lake.
If only it had speakers and disco lights
And a wine fridge!
You can always chuck waterproof ones into it… π
But when running the bubble pump it's too noisy to listen to music anyway…
And Paul Falzoni's skank included
I can solve your lights issues:

As for speakers, there was an option, but think it wasn't too popular and got discontinued lol:

I can't remember exactly, but I think it can't heat the water with the jets running at the same time, that was the only 'negative' I could think of.
Newer models will heat the water while running the airjet but heats at a lower wattage. The water still cools with the airjet and heater running.
Even with the photoshop on the box it looks tiny??
Maximum water depth: 52 cm
You should see the promo video if you want a snug fit. They had 4 people in it. https://youtu.be/RSe6DV84ryk
I'm intrigued on how they had their legs arranged?
a couple of the hands were below the waterline

Lower limb amputees maybe?
So ive got an old spa pump, a 3m bestway blow up pool ($25 from kmart last year), a cover and 2 solarhart heat collectors, and a drop in spa bubble pad.
Hoping to make it a pool by day, that gets hotter throughout the day and becomes a spa by night. Spa pump to boost if needed.
The collectors will raise 300L 80C per day. 3m is about 3000L.
Anyone done similar?
Anyone managed to price match in Victoria?
Very Happy Lay-Z Miami owner here. If you're on the fence - grab one!
At this price it's a steal
Nice price. Anything under $400 is a good deal on these.
Mydeal has one for $399 with free shipping atm

is Byron an old stock? can't seem to find any info on lay z spa website.
I've had the miami for year. It's great. I keep it set to 28 degrees and heat it up to 39 on Fridays so I can use it on the weekend.
I don't use it anyway near as much as a when I first got it though. I prefer to use it in winter with the mrs on cold evenings. My 5 year old loves hanging out in there with me.
They burn through electricity, so take this into consideration before you buy. Luck I have a decent sized EV system which helps.
They lose heat quickly if not insulated. I installed mine on foam insulation boards and a 10mm rubber mat. I've also got it covered with a cleverspa thermal cover which makes a massive difference.
I'd recommend joining the UK lay z spa Facebook group if you want to learn more about cleaning, insulating, chemical balance etc.
OOS for pick up in Chatswood, any luck with any other stores in NSW? or receipt to price match
Ive had one of these for 3 years (Palm Springs model) . They are easy to maintain. Get bromine tablets, put 2 in the dispenser and refill when they've been dissolved. Test water every now and again with test sticks.
You don't need to change filters or water as often as the manual says. Just clean the filters every now and then. I rinse them or pop into bleach solution until white and reuse a full summer. Buy replacements on eBay, much cheaper than from Bestway
