  • I do NOT vouch for this VPN or its windows based app. Subscribing for this VPN 3 years pack is a nightmare.

      Can I ask why?

      • Windows app is not stable with windows 11.
        Netflix doesn't work (https://i.ibb.co/SX5sDDd/df.png).
        Constant problems.
Support only got 1 answer for every problem; "Reinstall and restart"
        etc.
        etc.

        • Have also had issues with it on Windows 11. Sometimes I have no internet when the VPN is connected or torrents work though web traffic doesn’t etc. Will probably try another provider once current subscription ends.

  • Would it be good for Netflix on smart TV or is there a risk as well?

I have Surfshark and it works as intended. If your TV is Android the Surfshark app has split tunneling which will allow you to direct specific apps through the VPN. So you can watch Aus based services without going through the VPN. Speeds are ok but highly dependent on the TV's processing speed i.e.: you might see slower download performance on your PC vs laptop. e.g. Surfshark connection to the US is typically 40mbps on my mobile/laptop but between 14mbps to 20mbps from Google TV. Hope that helps.

      … And let's face it… At 96% cash back… I didn't overthink it.

  • Crap VPN and crap company. Do not use

    • Totally true

  • i use it to redeem cheap xbox games. works well, not sure about netflix or other usage performance

In my experience, not too bad for couple of dollars after cashback.
Better than nothing for netflix and torrent.
But some issues such as sometimes very slow speed(1am-6am was good), hard to connect and location errors(ex. connected to sydney but connected to singapore)

Haven't had any connection issues myself. Speeds are server sensitive. If I'm not happy I disconnect and reconnect. Nothing that's serious enough to impact my viewing. Note that their chat support is easily accessible and they do try hard to help… and have. No complaints there.

Was with PIA for years. Signed up for a 2 year plan on this on one of the previous deals, cost about $8 after cashback.

Fairly happy so far - like the app, speeds could be better, but i'm only a light user.

Seems to get pretty decent speeds (might have to avoid OpenVPN) along with a few extra features, as well as good privacy protection since the company is based in the Netherlands: https://restoreprivacy.com/vpn/reviews/surfshark/

As long as I'm not supporting Kape's VPNs and their dodgy malware practices I'm interested.

  • They dont have a working server for Argentina or Turkey to sign up the mega popular Ozbargain Netflix/Youtube Premium accounts. I had to use free version of Windscribe and TunnelBear to get it working.
I paid for 3 years and I will be getting another VPN after this.

I used them for a couple of years and it started to get worse over time. Now on PIA and won't be going back

    • can you get bbc with pia?

      • Fraid not. Last time I used Nord for that I think
