Great deal for those who've been wishing to add ATMOS speaker's to their ATMOS capable AV receiver. Currently running these in my setup sitting on top of my towers and they definitely add to the sound stage.

  • Could someone please confirm if it’s comparable to the Klipsch R-41SA?

    • Klipsch tend to be rather on the bright side, what speaker's are you running currently?

I have Klipsch for the main and surround speakers, but as others mentioned I probably don’t need to have Klipsch for the Atmos as well.

Well there you go, I'm using these Atmos speakers with Yamaha NS series speakers and I don't feel like they clash at all.

You don't need to match Atmos speakers to your Mains. it will be fine.
I am running B&W S02's with Pioneer Atmos speakers. Sounds great , lifts the sound field in the room.

I brought these - Pioneer Dolby Atmos Add-On Speakers Pair (SPT22A) - for $249 from Kogan on sale in June 2019. I haven't used others but the add-on speakers sound okay, just don't expect a massive effect, even while watching Atmos content as to my ear its very subtle. I am putting a set of Polk Audio V80 in the ceiling of my new house so when I am in, hopefully the effect is better.
I'm also running all Polk speakers with a Q Acoustics centre and Denon x2400 amp.

    • Thanks for sharing ur exp. Did you ever try manually changing the settings in ur receiver/amp to get a better sound out of them?

    • Also ur Pioneers are superior to this as they are 2-way and come with a tweeter. This only has the one 4 inch woofer.

    Need for AVR deals 😥

  • I want this but this been below $200 before. I shell wait :)

    • They have been discontinued and so there is the risk that they will sell out. I think JB always seems to have the last remaining stock for Sony products.

  • I have a Sony soundbar and wireless sub (HT-Z9F), will it connect wirelessly to these speakers? I can connect to my old wireless speakers but there's a delay when watching movies and no atmos. Thanks

You need atoms support amp for this, only can connect as wired.

  • I have been eyeing these but am thinking whether I should get them or instead get ceiling speakers.

Have a basement and so installation will be harder.

    • My honest opinion is just get them, I wish I'd bought them along time ago Instead of ghetto rigging some bookshelf speakers at the top of the wall under the ceiling. Try them on top of your speakers and see if you're happy if not then try installing them up high. That's about about your best bang for buck without spending 4 times as much if not more.

      • Yeah Ive been having this thought but we can get a pair Klipsch 6.5 inch ceiling speakers for about the same cost. Of course I need to factor the install cost and effort but that's making me have second thoughts about getting this.

        • You can always buy and sell later if you're still not happy with them and not lose much as these Atmos add on speakers don't come up very often on the second hand market.

  • back to $349 now
