    meh or yea?

It's $169….. would rather give it a try at that price than $299. I was tempted when this was first released, so I'm willing to give it a try.

      • need to look at how it looks on face as it’s think one the arms and frame is matt finish. think wayfarer style, been wanting before but i think it’s old
        tech now

I thought this was a decent deal

I have a pair of bone conduction glasses but they are for cycling.

Dad has a pair like this (bose) and sound quality is slightly better than my aftershokz

      • What’s the bone conduction glasses you have? I have aftershokz and I’m impressed it’s the tech. Didn’t know it’s on glasses too!

  • I'm not sure about the alto but I gave another starting with S as a present to a golf fanatic and he absolutely loves them.

Those were $250 on sale, so this seems like an excellent price

Battery life: Up to 3.5 hours of streaming music playback
that seems pretty bad when cheap bluetooth earbuds have less space and offer 10hour+

    • Yep agree and that's very short time of battery life.

  • Is this like, bone conduction tech?

Not conduction, I think they are little speakers - also thinking not that good for movement (Tempo designed for that) or if wanting more premium the Tenor (which is polarized), better than the tiny Rondo but for me I cannot justify it as an impulse purchase.

Unfortunately Tempo/Tenor are still $300+ this is a good deal though as even though the sunglasses are two/three years old model they still commonly sell around $200 still.

Tempo was selling for $250 just a week ago.

        They're great.

They are little speakers, and they sound like little speakers, not at all impressive and very meh.

Would have been ideal for a motorbike helmet if it weren't for those fat arms. No way I can get those in my helmet.

    • was debating the same thing in
my head , it’s a shame as this could be awesome on a bike ride …music and calling people. im tempted to try them at a store with helmet just to see

I wear mine with a full face MTB helmet when I ride to work - it's a tight but. It uncomfortable fit.

    Dreadful-looking, poor performance, bad idea.

Got one. It's way better deal than paying hundreds of dollars for plastic frames that cost cents to make.

  • I got these as a gift 6 months ago. Wear them while walking the dog and pottering about in the garden. Lets you listen to music and hear the world around you a bit better than having buds jammed in your earholes. Probably worth it at $169 depending on your use case - but I wouldn't pay $299.

    • I'm impressed. Thought this was going to be a joke or trolling comment but you actually delivered on a real product.

I assume they won't sound anywhere near the BOSE but hard to argue with 15 bucks.

      • Just saw this in Kmart.. they really do look 15 bucks. Similar packaging to a die cast toy car.

    • Yep……..that's a bargain!!

  • User tip - don’t buy them if you ride. Massive inconvenience. You’d miss hearing road sounds that may help you take a turn (for e.g.,).

    • So what you're saying is, they're bad, but not as bad as Cardo or Sena..? 😅

      • Well, I get your interpretation but Cardo packtalk seems funny to me. I’m much aware and comfortable on my bike with the AirPods Pro instead. I know, apples and oranges! :-)

        • I'm assuming those have the sound-passthrough thingo so you can still hear a bit of outside noise yeah?

I used to run both the Sena SMH-10 and Scala Rider G9 well over 5 years ago and since stopping a while after a crash, have used the exhaust-side from my Galaxy Buds Plus for the last few years to good effect. Still get it falling out as soon as I pull the helmet off though.. 😅

@[Deactivated]: That's right! The Pro version have the spatial audio option that is quite handy while riding for tram sounds and what not. I have a colleague who used to swear by Cardo and then was in a bad accident. He's using the Pro too these days.

I suppose fitment is an issue with any ear bud. I hated the first gen Apple ones and the Pro just fit well. I'm hoping the helmet world can design better such the ear plugs can be accommodated without falling off.
