Are there peer reviewed articles comparing this to TAU?

    • +3

It's alright. I have checked the company out and they are all wearing white coats. Isn't it cute the same person giving the testimonial on how brilliant this product is, is the same person answering your questions on the companies chat website. Any guesses how the other three testimonials fit into the company!

      • The middle girl is a PA for a Tasmania based accounting firm. 13seeds is actually a Tasmania based hemp skin care product company. I bet someone with more skills could find more.

FYI I inspected the element to find the file name.

Is this product classed as therapeutic or non-therapeutic by the TGA? How many of its ingredients are classified as therapeutic by the TGA, and do the purported benefits lend themselves for this product to be classified as a therapeutic good by the TGA?

    • +2

Have a read of the press release. I'm not fluent in medical industry weasel words so I'm not sure:

      https://www.listcorp.com/asx/lv1/live-verdure-ltd/news/launc…

      • Thanks for linking that. It appears this product was 'listed' by the TGA, meaning the product was simply submitted for review and with the product approved for sale in Australia. However, there are no claims regarding any therapeutic value of this product. I think that concludes it.

    • -5

Hi - The product is ARTG registered as Nalar has pointed out.
Our CTO has also recorded an extensive Q&A video at the bottom of the page
      I hope this clarifies.

      • +3

I think there's more question to answer there…

      • +7

        The product is ARTG registered

No it isn't. It's listed in the ARTG, not registered.

You've breached sections 9 and 10(d) of the Therapeutic Goods Advertising Code by claiming that "SOLVES all aspects of poor sleep".

You've also breached the section 16(2) of the Therapeutic Goods Advertising Code, by including an endorsement from a doctor.

        • +1

Not sure who downvoted your comment here, so take my up ôte in return,

      • ARTG Registered has a specific meaning.

ARTG Listed means the TGA has assessed it will not cause harm, but has not evaluated efficacy.

To claim that your product is endorsed by the TGA as effective is not true, and probably illegal.

For what it's worth, the formulation looks ok, it probably does what it claims, but your advertising is unethical.

Op,who do you use for shipping to WA? If Fastway/Aramex is involved its a dealbreaker as they are shite.

    • Hi - thanks @SeismicEvent - this is a very useful feedback. Auspost aren't that great either but we guarantee all shipment deliveries in case anything should happen.. I hope this helps :)

    • I've checked again, if you choose "Sendle" in your checkout then it would be CourierPlease or Fastway.

      • +1

so how do I avoid Fastway (or SlowWay as they are known in WA)?

        • From experience Fastway are awful in NSW too and I've heard from friends they're bad in VIC too, so maybe just a bad option everywhere

  • +2

Ohhh is this a pyramid scheme? A bloke at work who's always going for get rich quick stuff is trying to sell this to everyone!

    • -2

Nalar this is definitely not a scheme. I doubt that we're talking about the same product as we've just launched it

      • Live Verdure Ltd (“LV1”), owner and operator of premium health and wellness Direct to Consumer (DtoC) brand “13 Seeds”, is pleased to announce the launch of its uniquely formulated Sleep productnamed “TheraNight+”.

        https://13seeds.com.au/products/theranight-1

Which is incidentally cheaper, so no deal?

        • -1

You're referring to the offer on our main store where the full price of 1 bottle is $64.95 and is now offered on xmas sale for $48.97.
This deal allows the first 50 OzBargain customers to get it for $25.98 (50% off of 51.96) - once you apply the code OZ-SLEEP

Your question made me note why there may be a confusion there so I hope this answers your question :)

          • -2

@AKatz9021: Be less confusing if you followed title guidelines.

            • -1

@Nalar: Thank for that. I try to be as clear as I can - there is already a sale running on the site which apply 30% off of the regular price and this is an additional 50%. This is why I added that note in the comment.

The additional discount is activated with a coupon code.

              • -1

@AKatz9021: Since you're using this site purely as a marketing tool, I think you should probably have a look at the rules in relation to posting:

                https://www.ozbargain.com.au/wiki/help:title_guidelines

                • @Nalar: Thanks Nalar - we're learning. Clearly you're experienced in this. I've modified the title. What specifically didn't sit well with you or still doesn't?

                  • +2

@AKatz9021: Well, the fact that your product is completely non-therapeutic for one. So basically, it's as effective for putting anyone to sleep as a sweet lullaby sang from the tears of your hocus pocus product.

  • +1

The doctor that endorses the product, Dr Kim Langdon is a specialist in obstetrics and gynaecology. They have nothing to do with sleep.

    • +6

Obviously you haven't talked to my wife about the link between sex and sleep. Any mention by me of anything gynaecogical and my wife is in a deep sleep.

      • lol

    • Thank you for this - you're welcome to review the endorsement by other physicians mentioned on the page. End of the day, it's a natural sleep aid supplement that comes with 100% money-back guarantee. If it didn't work for you then we don't want your money.

  • Just buy some melatonin from iherb. It's a fraction of the price.

    • Hi - Melatonin can definitely be a short-term potent solution - however, it's not recommended for prolonged usage as it affects the hormone system.
Always speak to your physician first, but natural product can be taken for long periods to achieve a stable sleeping routine,

    • +1

      melatonin never worked for me

      • Which one did you try? I've had my best success with either the LifeExtension brand at iherb, or the overpriced private prescription (non-PBS) from the chemist.

If you get the over-the-counter stuff at the pharmacies here, it's just homeopathic bullshit.

        • Tried Circadin 2mg tablets. They made me fall asleep in an instant but then woke me up about 4 hours later. And the next day I was very drowsy. There are many other people who have made similar comments about this on the internet. A smaller, slow release dose would work better but not sure if this exists in Australia.

          • +1

@Rodo: Life Extension has a 0.750mg slow release tablet.

Melatonin is not allowed to be sold over the counter in Australia, which is why this product doesn't include it

            • @greatlamp: Interesting. Thanks. Will have to look that up. Would be good if these were readily available in Australia even via prescription only.

  • +2

    Active Ingredients
Humulus lupulus fruit Extract dry concentrate 100 mg
Melissa officinalis leaf Extract dry concentrate 44.44 mg
Passiflora incarnata flower and leaf Extract dry concentrate 150 mg
Valeriana officinalis root Extract dry concentrate 150 mg

Seems like it's just over the counter "Traditional western medicine" sleep aid, nothing too different from dozen of other snake oils from the health food/chemist. Expensive snake oil.

    Basically this: https://www.chemistwarehouse.com.au/buy/72274/blackmores-sle…

    • -4

Excellent - I'm glad you found a solution that works for you. Having the same ingredients does not equate to having the same effect. All the best

      • +2

So your saying if I find a product with exactly the same ingredients it'll have a different effect?

        • -2

Nope. I'm saying that a different formulation will result in a different effect. The product you quoted contains different ingredients in different quantities.
If all products were identical then the page you provided as a reference wouldn't contain 4 other sleep supplements. People respond differently and have different preferences.

With that, I'm going to respectfully put this conversation to rest as I've tried to respond fully to all of your inquiries.

          Happy new year

          • -1

@AKatz9021: You mean too many members have called you out on your bs product?

          • @AKatz9021: That's cool if your finished with my questions, can you answer anarky's questions from earlier now?

  • +1

Crikey, I was scanning through the page and just read the big orange heading, "kill 40% of sleep deprived Australians".

  • is this endorsed by Dr Nick Riviera?

  • +1

OP, how is this any better to sleep-aid supplements that I can buy from a chemist? Most of them have similar ingredients and they have slightly different formulations to distinguish themselves from one another. See the following as an example: https://supsupplements.com/products/sup-zzz-sleep-tablets
