Brunswick Bakers Cast Iron Bread Baking Pan 39x26cm $129.95 Delivered @ Kitchen Warehouse

I was looking something bigger than my dutch oven to bake bread in.The gold standard is the Challenger pan but too expensive for me (279USD). I also looked at the Brisbane Sourdough pan but that is $240pp.

I've been watching this Brunswick Bakers pan as a cheaper alternative and it finally came back in stock, I've been using it for about a week and am really happy with it so thought I'd share!

Key Features:

  • Pre-seasoned cast iron specially designed for bread baking
  • Handles are made for easily removing the lid while in the oven
  • Generates superior even heat distribution and retention
  • Suitable for oven use and all stove tops including induction
  • Ideal for all types of bread baking and other types of cooking (roast, etc.)
This is part of Boxing Day Sales for 2021

  • I already bought the IKEA vardagen 7L a couple of months ago… argh! Your one looks great.

Unfortunately the IKEA one doesn't have a low profile, so the bread doesn't brown as well after taking the lid off, but for a budget version I'm pretty happy with mine

It's just the gold standard because it's Made in USA :)
Looks like a great deal, the only thing stopping me is the 'Made in China' tag, I'll keep an eye on Brisbane Sourdough pan if I ever want to start playing with freeform sourdough bread. Thanks for this, didn't realize we've gone further in baking tools. I've been getting by with a clay baking cloche.

The US version will outlast the Chinese version by multiple years/decades.

As a plain cast iron pan, this is literally indestructible and will last a lifetime regardless of where it was made.
