hmmm…wandering if fujifilm instax would be a more established brand and safer choice in terms of future proof. especially since original pricing was really at premium basis and even discounted now, more comparable with instax on sale…

It's not really a film camera is it? It's closer to something like and instax camera, I guess if you consider that film.
I'd have jumped if it has a screen and you could review before printing. I don't want my kids to be indiscriminant with their use of resources, which instant printing encourages
Nah the whole point is to get a quick snap of a happy moment, doesn’t matter if it’s blurry … capture the memory gets little print out and move on. Sounds like you’re after a digital camera and an officeworks print card subscription!
It’s a film camera as much as it takes a photo and skips the development process i guess? It’s borderline a toy..
At this price maybe, but not at the regular price of $170 odd bucks. At that price I would expect a screen, even if it's a crapppy postage stamp. Maybe they have a higher spec model which does?
