This is something for those with an existing monthly DashPass subscription. You can upgrade to an annual plan for $124 using the banner in the app and receive 50% off your next three orders.

The subscription becomes essentially $6.75/month using this promotion if you take into account the following:
The maximum discount for the 50% off code is $10. You also get your current month's subscription refunded. Therefore: $124 - $12.99 - ($10 * 3) = $81.01 ($6.75/month).

You would make back the cost of your subscription by placing about one order per month minimum.

Important side note: The 50% off vouchers are only valid until 31/12/21, so you have 9 days to use them (which might be challenging over the holiday period - depending on store closures in your area).

    No to doordash
They keep your food and don’t deliver

      sounds like menulog

      • Than you're pronouncing one of them wrong.

      • this has only happened to me with menulog and doordash actually. like 4 times with menulog.

    • I know drivers often work for multiple platforms at once, but this has happened with Menulog a lot.

Driver couldn't find my place multiple times (I lived in an apartment block on the main road, impossible to miss) and was told by Menulog that's my fault. You couldn't pay me to use them even before they introduced higher delivery fees + service charges.

Would be worth it if there was no 50% limit to the order cost.
Was thinking could do a few $200 orders and get 50% back but now not worth it due to the lame $10 limit

I subbed to this. Pretty lame the discount is capped at $10. I also noticed they were WAY less reluctant, basically unwilling to give refunds since I signed up for the year and they know I have no options.

Personally I'd avoid this unless you use the service quite a bit.

    • That looks to be on par with other food delivery services.
Doordash wasn't too bad for me but doesn't seem to have the range that Uber does it my area.

I got nailed by them. Driver didnt show up after taking ages. Promised a refund but only gave me credits. Promised again and claimed to do it but never showed up and told me to contact my bank to file a complaint.

Kind of biased because no one really uses review websites except to complain. 5 star service is expected, so it's nothing to write about when it happens. Especially with store and driver ratings already in app.

Doordash is currently the only food delivery service with only a 2% service fee, all others have 10%. Find delivery fees are also lower compared to Uber Eats. Pays to keep a competitive advantage.

  • Can I pay the annual subscription by gift card?

DoorDash has been the best of a crappy bunch for me. I have a dash pass and refunds have been issued promptly when items have been wrong or missing from my orders.
