Exact same deal as yesterday, just a different flavour? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/672692

  • Looks so good but I’m sure my heart won’t appreciate

I'm so sick of hearing this outdated crap about animal fat as a cause of heart disease, when it's in fact the opposite. Meanwhile excessively consuming inflammation causing polyunsaturated industrial oils like soy, canola and seed oils and refined carbs like 'healthy' cereals, orange juice etc.

      • Any peer reviewed journals you can share to support?

        • There is no peer review journal that supports saturated fat = heart disease. That was the scam in the first place. Dr Paul Mason explains this best and generally provides studies and evidence for his claims. I found this particular interview very good and I linked to the specific section where he talks about fat. The section takes about 5 - 10 minutes, even though I strongly recommend watching the whole thing. He speaks slowly so I normally listen on 1.5 x speed on YouTube. He starts referencing scientific papers from 7:15 mark.

  • "Super popular" with your highest rating post getting 18 votes. Come on now…We are ozbargain…

    • It’s hard to get anywhere without free shipping in ozbargain.
Even if it was $19.95 with free shipping…

    • super popular in general

  • It isn't an @outbackjerky OzBargain post without the words 'super popular' somewhere in the description

    • I like that one :)

  • Has anyone tried both flavour? Which one you like better?

    • Has anyone tried both flavour?

Yes, 3 people in Perth and one in Adelaide have.

    • Based on our sales to Woolworths who sell our crackle in every BWS in WA that has snacks the roast out sells at double the bacon. Personally I prefer the roast. Maybe next time I will do 5 and 5.

  • On the topic of pork crackling, FYI aldi now has pork crackling! Not that cheap but not bad at $3.99 for 75g in 2 flavours. I tried the pink salt one, was nice but i just found it strange that it was a bit sweet (not what i was expecting for a salty snack) if can get last that it was nice.

    • if can get last that it was nice.

      what does that mean?

  • I bought some last time alongside the keto one. Haven't tried the keto one, but these roast pork ones are really good! They aren't the typical "airy" ones, these are quite dense. Depends on your preference I guess
