ASUS RT-AX82U AX5400 selling for 289 down from 399.
Not a bad deal but not as good as some other deals either.

manta ray looking ass
I wish they made versions of these for adults.
Almost all affordable good routers look like some stupid alien spaceship.
Give me a black box I can mount in my Comms box or something I can have in the house that doesn't look like something grandchildren would use as a toy.
Put the Comms box in the basement or at a location where the grandchildren don't have access to.
Here are some non-alien spaceship looking boxes:

Its a gaming router, it's got to have the flashy lights (which you can turn off) and fast looks
I've got the 88U's and think they look fairly classy with the gold highlights on the antenna but you can always get the 58U or 86U which look pretty normal, depending on how fast you want it.
Yeah but red makes it go faster.
Amything similar from TP Link? I prefer the brand. Need a good router that will support a NAS in the future. Thanks in advanced
You don't necessarily need a router to support a NAS. You just need a switch.
Weighing up this one with the RT-AX68u, the 68u has speeds not as high (that I don't really need), what it does have is the Asuswrt-Merlin support whereas the AX82u doesn't. This vid suggests futureproofing/customisation on Merlin-supported models: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XykUML3T2VA
Tempting.
But I can’t imagine what this would currently do that my 68u doesn’t.
