  • What's the difference between the Trekz and the Trekz Air, both of which appear to have had cheaper Amazon deals posted on OzBargain previously (also shows in that CamelCamelCamel link attributed in the post)?

Oldest to newest model is titanium, trekz air and aeroplex.

I think they recently came out with a new mode called openmove as well.

I have all of these :) I prefer to use for TV, Music etc then my hearing aids.
you can connect to 2 bluetooth devices.. Reason I have a few is I want to connect to multiple devices.. Hence multiple pairs.

Aeropex more comfortable to wear and better sound.. I had to get one replaced. Came next day from QLD to Vic during COVID. so fantastic service.
Air little less battery life have 2 of these.
Openmove I find the least comfortable for my head have one for work.
Titanium the band is less flexible and broken now 4 years on.

personally I go the Air or Aeropex.

Tempted to get another pair :)

          • @davemc: Great reviews thanks

I have a chunky pair of Edisons I bought in Winter for my outdoor walking, they've been great but as the weather warms up it's clear I need something else, but traditional in-ear types always fall out or just aren't comfortable. These ones look more suited for my needs. Might grab some Aeropex

EDIT: Just checked a review, this is exactly what I need. I listen to podcasts when I'm out and about so top end sound quality isn't key nor volume and I'd rather be aware of my surroundings better as there's a bunch of bike riders where I do my walking etc. Perfect.

@Click_It: yep having plugs in your ears for hours on end is not great. I hate hearing aids for hours.
You still be able to hear everything. For me not much he he :)

  • Hmmm, tempting but do you have a pair attached to sunglasses?

    • I’ve used these with sunglasses no issues with Rayban Wayfarers but I guess it would depend on the frame design and how thick the arms are.

I love these. Used them in a call centre years ago, meant I could take customer calls and be jamming out, no problems :)

Please note that some models are not fully titanium. I've bought "aftershokz titanium" (lol), and the part from the battery to earpiece is just thin rigid plastic. It broke after I fell asleep in it.

I have a set of these, they are good but really not impressed with battery life over time. I have to charge them up before each use, and and occasionally have had them run out of juice within a single ride.

As far as I’m aware you can’t change the battery, so I probably wouldn’t buy them again. They work well, just don’t last long.

When they were new the battery was better, just didn’t seem to last many change cycles (less than 50)

  • @Una0216 from marketing, have the Xtrainerz for swimming been discontinued or have a refresh coming up soon? They seem to have been out of stock for the 12 months.

  • Which of these can be used under water?

  • Paid $135 delivered in Oct 2020

  • I have the Air. I love it. It is comfortable, open ear so I can still listen to traffic, long battery life and the one reason why I prefer it over Aeroplex is that it uses Micro USB for charging so that means when I'm away from home, I don't need to take a special charging adapter if I run out of battery.
